NEW VAPA ELEMENTARY POSITIONS!
The Visual and Performing Arts Dept. has several full-time (1.0 FTE),
10 -month vacancies in various Elementary Schools.
LIVE YOUR PASSION
The Visual and Performing Arts Department will be adding numerous elementary teaching positions given increased resources from Proposition 28, passed by the voters in November 2022. The Visual and Performing Arts Department believes that the arts transform lives and there is much excitement for expanding arts education in the district. Teachers will be hired to teach 1) performing arts (dance, music and theater) and 2) visual and media arts. These teachers will teach all grades, UTK-5, and will serve multiple sites as an itinerant teacher. A collaborative spirit will be essential for success in this role and teachers should be open to working closely with colleagues in service of continuous growth and development, to include but not limited to lesson study, action research, classroom observations, etc. Above all candidates should have a firmly developed growth mindset and strong belief that every student possesses unique strengths/genius and that all are capable of finding their artistic voice and developing literacy.
