As an athlete, she plays water polo year round and trains 3-4 days per week before school and consumes hour of game film. Her efforts have earned her multiple college offers that she is currently considering. As a student, she has been able to maintain high grades amongst a challenging courseload. Coach Ernie Biagioni said, "Grant has demonstrated dedication and unwavering commitment to excellence in Basketball. He has impressive achievements, but more than that he has been a leader and example to his teammates. He has tremendous work ethic and I would have to kick him out of the gym so I could lock up at night. He has always encouraged his teammates to do their best and certainly this year has been an incredible example to the younger players that when things don't go your way, you stay positive and look at the bright side. He suffered a knee injury in July during a tournament which took him three months to come back from. He preserved and worked very hard to be able to play his senior season. He was having an All-League season when he injured his knee again. Although he was out he continued to come to the games to encourage, cheer, and even coach his teammates. A true leader through the last game."
At the end of each season, San Diego City Conference coaches meet to recognizing athletes for their outstanding performance. Below are the CHS athletes that received 1st / 2nd All-League and League Athlete of the Year recognition.

Air bands, or "air bands," are a popular and fun concept in pop culture, especially in the context of music fandoms and comedic performances.
The term refers to groups of people or individuals who "perform" live music by miming playing instruments and singing, often to pre-recorded tracks.
