Do you have what it takes to be a professional soccer player?
Workout like a soccer pro! Learn from The Barca Academy San Diego and create a video sharing your Barca Challenge workout!
Investigate
Watch these videos and follow the instructions to meet the challenge!
Here are examples:
Computer with internet access.
Paper & pen (or digital note taking device) to sketch out your ideas.
Phone or computer that can record video. A chromebook or similar device with a camera will do!
This could take 1 or more hours, depending on how many times you want to revise and re-record your video.
Consider where might be the best place to film. You’ll need to have proper lighting, be able to hear the audio, and take into consideration what viewers need to see in the video in order to complete the task. Test out a few areas with your camera and audio to see what works. Remember, quality video may take a few tries before you capture a final “take”.
Research & Select a Drill You Want to Share
Which drill will you record yourself doing?
The Coordinative Challenge or the Conditioning Challenge?
Practice this drill before preparing to record.
Consider Your Audience & Write a Script
Now that you’ve selected a drill. Write a script of what you might say while completing this drill on video. Possibly:
Introduce yourself
Introduce the drill
Model the drill
Close the video with something motivational
Practice & Record
Set up your camera and do a couple of run-throughs. Check as you go for sound quality, lighting, flow of the script. Make adjustments as you go.
Record your video!
Review & Re-Record
Watch the video. Or, consider having someone else watch your video and follow your instructions to see if what you intended for the viewer to understand and do is what you have communicated. Note down adjustments you’d like to make and re-record. You can go through this process as many times as you’d like.
You may also add enhancements to your video. Add titles, images and music to make it engaging!
