Dress For The Occasion. Casual attire is perfectly acceptable for a night out. Casual attire, however, does not mean sloppy. Please be comfortable but polished.
Be On Time. Punctuality shows respect for the performers and your fellow audience members.
Enjoy The Patron Experience. If you arrive with items a performer needs backstage, do not text them to meet you in front of the building. Please respect the venue and performance, and find a house manager to aid you in getting needed items backstage.
Use The Restroom Before, Or At Intermission, Not During The Show. Leaving your seat during the performance is not only disruptive to the people in your row, as well as the rows around you, but it can also be a distraction for the performers onstage.
Do Not Run. While rushing for that perfect spot may be tempting, no seat is worth hurting yourself or others.
Please Remove Your Hat, But Keep Your Shoes On. Wearing a hat during a show may block the view of another patron. Please allow them to enjoy the same performance experience as you. Shoes should be kept on in a public setting, such as a theatre.
On Saving Seats And Late Arrivals. Any saved seat not filled five minutes before a performance begins will be given to patrons in the venue looking for a seat. Open seats will be forfeited and sold to waiting patrons if a performance is sold out. Late ticket holders to sold-out performances run the risk of missing the show. Tickets are not refunded for missed productions.
Enjoy Your Refreshments Outside. Food and open containers are not allowed in most performance venues. Please enjoy your refreshments before entering the building. Follow the guidelines for the particular venue in regard to covered drinks.
Listen For The Bell. A bell is rung five minutes before a performance begins or resumes to allow audience members to return to their seats before the lights go out and the show continues. Please make your way to your seat at this time.
Please Remain Silent. Do not talk during a live performance once it has begun. Do not sing along with performers on stage unless asked to join. Please refrain from humming, singing, or whistling familiar songs you hear during a performance.
Please Turn Off Your Cell Phones. Before dimming the house lights, please turn your cell phone off and put it away. Cell phones left on - even in silent or vibration mode - interfere with the sound system in our live theatre spaces. If you use your phone at intermission, please remember to turn it off again before the performance resumes.
Be Mindful Of Strong Smells. Many people have allergies or adverse reactions to perfumes and aftershaves. Other smells, such as deodorant and breath mints, are helpful when sitting close to others.
Please Stay Awake. Snoring or leaning your head on a neighbor’s shoulder when falling asleep is unacceptable.
Enjoy The Moment. Live performances are meant to be enjoyed LIVE. Photography, video recording, or social media posting of any kind is prohibited and may violate copyright laws.
Be Appreciative. Many long hours have been put in by all company members to create your evening of entertainment. Please plan on staying for the entire production, and abstain from leaving before it has ended. Please refrain from shout-outs, catcalls, and loud whistles during the performance. At the conclusion of the production, DO show your appreciation by clapping at the appropriate times and standing when those around you stand.
