Directions: Students will be put into a group of 3 - (you may choose your teammates) and you will have a zoom meeting each discussing ideas that led to the American Revolution. You will record the meeting and upload it in Google Classroom.

Topics to select: Lexington and Concord, Coercive or "Intolerable" Acts, Quartering Act 1774, Tea Act, Townshend duties, Declaratory Act, Stamp Act, Currency Act, Sugar Act, Proclamation of 1763

Part A - Individual Presentation

The part of the discussion on the (3) ideas that you individually present on:

Describe the event/act in complete detail - when, what, who, why, cause, and effect

Explain why this was the significant event to lead to the American revolution

Each individual should explain their act/event in less than 1 minute

Part B - Group discussion

The part of the discussion is to debate why your event is most significant in leading to the revolution

1) When speaking in the discussion start with why the other acts/events are not as significant and then present your act/event

This portion of the discussion should be less than 5 minutes long

Requirements:

All individuals are required speak about their topic w/ video on or an image on their zoom screen of themselves

The students have to arrange a time outside of class to tape/record this discussion

The recording can not be longer than 10 minutes

The scoring of this will be evaluated on your individual and team performance - therefore, please select your team member wisely
