We also offer popular public programs and special events. Mid City CAN Transportation (ITCH)/ Policing Policies- Sept 2021
-Mid City CAN will come in the classroom to discuss the work that the organization is doing as it relates to transportation within the community and throughout San Diego as well as discussing policing policies within San Diego as well as City Heights.
Public Advocacy/Storytelling Training - October 2021
The training explains how students can become part of a group to change public policy. Describing how to create legislation, organize the special interest or community, and how to influence change in your community through voting. The second half explains how to explain information using storytelling elements to make more impact on the representatives.

The training discusses how to present information to local government agencies at meetings as well as how to explain ideas using storytelling elements to make it more 'real' to the representatives.
