From August to June our budding readers have been working on developing strategies to not only read books, but to discover the joy in reading. We would love to share our reading progress with you! Each child has a book ready to read at drop-off tomorrow morning. Please stop by for a few minutes, or stay the whole time.
In the meantime, click on the links below to hear our very own Mountain View TK-2 Reader voices from the field!
How have you grown as a reader this year?
I am so proud of all the ways you have grown this year, but especially your growth in reading! You took on tricky words like they were slices of cake, you stopped at the first sign of trouble just like a superhero, and you fixed up your reading better than most mechanics fix cars! Best of all YOU NEVER GAVE UP! I hope this summer you find a book you love and can’t put down. I hope you read every sign you see in your car or on the bus. I hope you stay up late reading and even sneak a book under the dinner table one night. I hope you love reading as much as I love you! Have a great summer and congratulations on all your hard work!
Love, Erica
