1:1 Ambassador Program

1:1 Ambassadors are a community of teachers who have been nominated by their principals to learn more about SDUSD's 1:1 Device Program. This group meets to exchange information, share knowledge, and explore best practices for using digital tools in the classroom.

Meeting Format

Flexible

All 1:1 ambassadors have the option of attending meetings either in-person or virtually based on their unique schedules to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate.

Connect with Colleagues

During every meeting, participants collaborate and discuss new ideas with colleagues as well as learn from each other through teacher showcases.

Explore and Learn

1:1 ambassadors engage in guided learning activities that include time to explore and create around specific concepts, district initiatives, and digital tools.

Fun

To kick off meetings, food is provided to in-person participants and all participants have the chance to win prizes through raffles at the close of sessions.

What do ambassadors think of the program? (check out quotes from some of our 1:1 ambassadors)

"Absolutely amazing to be able to connect face to face with teachers across the district who want to support tech integration and blended learning in their schools."

"I LOVED getting training and ideas again. I appreciate someone else finding cool things to try and quickly teaching/showing us about it. I love getting lots of different ideas and then being able to pick a few to use/dive deeper. Please keep it up."

"As a first year teacher in the district, it allowed me to have fast resource to all the technology available in the district, making my teaching a breeze."

"Got more ideas on subjects I already knew and learned a bunch of new things to share with my staff."

"You always include hands on as well as showing us new technology to use and share at our sites. My site really appreciated all of the information."

"It gave me lots of tools to use technology and applications that engage my learners and have them use their creativity to demonstrate their learning."

"I had no expectations going into this and found every meeting had something I, or someone on the site could use."

"I've had a lot of fun learning about the technology available to us as educators. Not only is it fun, but it's helped reinvigorate me as an educator."
