In partnership with Feeding San Diego, the Hoover Market provides students, families, and community members with free and accessible food. Our market is open twice a month, from 2:00pm-3:15pm. Our pantry, located in 601, is then stocked with remaining produce and accessible between market distribution days.
The Cardinal's Closet provides a welcoming, inclusive resource offering free clothing to students and the broader community. Its mission is to foster unity, dignity, and equality by ensuring access to essential clothing without financial barriers. Through repurposing gently used items, the Closet promotes sustainability while creating a positive impact and cultivating a compassionate, thriving school environment.

The student Needs and Assets Assessment clearly identified a lack of student engagement post COVID. 🚨CODE RED🚨 partners with ASB, IMIN, Hoover Athletics, and other school groups to provide meaningful connection and engagement opportunities for all students.
As a densely populated, inner-city neighborhood, City Heights lacks open green space. The garden provides an expanded learning space both in and out of school time. In addition, parents are engaged in meaningful volunteer work by maintaining the garden.
