SHOUT OUTS
On Wednesday, May 15th, almost 200 seniors attended Grad Nite at Disneyland's California Adventure Park. Seniors entered the park around 1pm, then the park was closed for graduates only from 10pm-2am. In addition to the rides, students were able to play games at the pier and have dance parties at the DJ stations. Shout out to our chaperones Ms. Apple, Ms. Desingano, Ms. Gilmore, Mr. Gomez, Mr. Gonzales, Ms. Massey, Mr. Miller, Ms. Riego, Mr. Ta and Ms. Tyler for pulling an all-nighter to make sure our students had a fun and safe trip!
On Saturday, May 18th, Seniors celebrated Prom downtown at The Lane. There was a DJ, photo booth, churros, ice cream, and a view of the harbor. Javier Vargas and Perla Jaime were crowned Prom King and Queen! Thank you to Ms. Apple, AP Boertmann, Ms. Desingano, AP Futrell, Ms. Gastelum, Principal Makings, Ms. Massey, Officer Meza, Ms. Riego, AP Schultz, Mr. Sumida, Ms. Thun, Ms. Tyler, and Ms. Vasquez for chaperoning!
This past week we lost a beloved member of our Hoover family, Coach Miller. Carey Miller was a devoted husband, father, friend, coach, mentor, and colleague. If you would like to support his family in their time of need, the Hoover Community created a GoFundMe to raise donations to ease his family's financial burden that his loss has brought. Any support is greatly appreciated. Please keep Coach Miller's family in your thoughts and prayers, and thank you for your love and support. Once a Cardinal, Always a Cardinal.

First-time financial aid applicants who have never applied for financial aid / submitted a FAFSA
*CSAC is working towards a solution to allow renewal students (students who have completed a FAFSA or CADAA in previous years) to submit a CADAA if they are facing similar challenges with the FAFSA. Once the CADAA is made available to renewal students, CSAC will follow up with students immediately through email or a phone call.

Unable to submit a complete FAFSA due to challenges with processing non-SSN contributors’ section(s)
Students intending to go to a four-year university have until May 2, 2024, to complete the CADAA in order to meet the state priority deadline for state financial aid programs, such as the Cal Grant and Middle Class Scholarship.
