Black History Month Celebration
The Black College Expo was awesome sauce! Seventeen of our students had the opportunity to attend, and it was such a powerful experience to witness their excitement and confidence as they explored future college opportunities. A huge thank you to Ms. Apple for leading this important work and creating meaningful opportunities for our students throughout Black History Month.
As we wrapped up the month, students participated in an exciting lineup of events: BSU College Day at UCSD, BSU Leadership Conference at Morse High School, BSU Movie Night in the library, and closed out the celebrations with a special BSU Soul Food Luncheon. It was a week full of culture, community, leadership, and pride!
FUNDRAISERS
Hey, juniors! Your Class of 2027 is hosting a SchoolFundr fundraiser to help lower the cost of next year’s prom tickets, and if we reach our $5,000 goal, your junior class will earn a pizza party with drinks and dessert. All you have to do is share your QR code and encourage friends and family to donate. If each of you raises just $12, we’ll hit our goal in no time — every dollar counts!
