JOURNALISM introduces the basic techniques and skills of journalistic writing and prepares students for participation in school publications. Teacher recommendation is required for this course.

ASB (Associated Student Body) is a group of students who act as representatives for all Dana Middle School students.  They continually strive to make Dana a better place where all students feel a sense of belonging through inclusion and kindness in everything they do.

The ASB students work as a team to create, plan, and organize all sorts of events including spirit days, dances, community service projects, and collaborate with other organizations &/or schools.  This kind of teamwork requires students to act with maturity.  This means that ASB students are expected to be responsible, respectful, and to always demonstrate integrity.  These characteristics allow ASB to be productive and have fun. Teacher recommendation is required for this course.
