This week, we will be using if-then conditionals in our code. Let's think about other if-then situations at school.
What conditions need to be true for you to be able to go to recess?
If _________(condition), then I can go to recess.
What conditions need to be true for you to do well on a test?
If _________ (condition), then I will do well on my test!

As a class, let's use TIPP and SEE to learn how the project works.
Click on the Scratch project.
Locate the Title and read it.
Locate the Instructions and read them.
Locate the Purpose and read it.
Play the project.
Locate See Inside and click on it.
Identify all Sprites and Events.
Explore the code, but don't make changes quite yet!

In the Scratch project, the spaceship is supposed to name all the parts of Earth's layers. Part of the project is not working correctly. What is the problem and how do you think you can fix it?
The problem is _________.
Maybe we can solve the problem by programming _________.
How is the if-then block used in this project? Use the anchor chart to help you explain.
In this project, the if-then is used to _____________.

Open the Week 2 Student Hyperdoc provided by your teacher.
Open the project under the "You Do" section in your hyperdoc.
Play the project.
Fix the code so that the spaceship correctly says what layer it's touching.
DO MORE
Add more code to say "Wrong way!" when the spaceship goes off the layers.
Make sure you have shared your project with your teacher using your hyperdoc.
File -> Save to your computer to save your program for later.

Today in Scratch, we used if-thens to make the rocket ship do something when the condition was met.
Partner A: Share your project and talk about your process.
Today I _______. Let me show you...
Partner B: Respond to your partner with feedback.
I see you were able to ________.
Can you tell about how you ________?
