cURRICULUM FAQ

How do I use this curriculum?

In general, you just need to follow along a web page each day, going from top to bottom.  For a quick overview of the design of each day's lessons (it's the same each week), check out the design document on the home page.

What materials should I print out?

Discussion Bubbles (one set per student pair - two pages can be printed back-to-back)

Anchor Charts (17" x 11" Print Version) (8.5" x 11" Print Version) / one set per class - post in the classroom as a Word Wall for students)

Unit Assessment Rubrics (one per student - two pages can be printed back-to-back)

Project Week Worksheets & Rubrics - One per student

What if I don't have four hours a week for coding?

Do Lesson 1 & 2.  If you have more time, do Lesson 4 - CS+Me.  A complete week will also contain Lesson 3.

What technology/software is required for this curriculum?

Only Scratch and Googleslides.  Videos are primarily on YouTube, but an alternate googledrive link is provided as well.  All the following may be shown/used somewhere but are completely optional: flipgrid, googleclassroom, loom.

Do you have ELD supports?

Yes!  You can find them linked on each week overview page and also from the Teachers Learn More drop down in the orange Turn & Talk sections in each lesson.
