Who Am I? What Change Do I Want to See in the World?
On March 13, 2020 everything changed for our Birney Bees, including end-of-the-year activities.
Through immense change, our Birney 5th graders, demonstrated extraordinary resilience, humor, honesty, international-mindedness, strength, creativity, and problem solving skills through the toughest of times.
Our bees were invited to participate in the Exhibition while also juggling new online learning platforms, classroom teachers' lessons and assignments, Specials teachers' choice boards, a virtual Run for the Green, class and whole-school zoom meetings, and family responsibilities.
They met the challenge. Thank you, Birney Community, for visiting the student project pages. Within the pages are inspiration for us all to do better and be better. Birney Bees hope that their messages help encourage you to reflect, find balance in your life, care more about yourself and others, be more open-minded, learn new knowledge through inquiry, think critically more often, and learn to communicate in ways that are clearer and caring, and take principled action to continue to make our world a better place.
