TRIPS

Sixth Form students can take part in a number of different trips during their 2 years of study, ranging from UCAS exhibitions and university visits to film studios in London to 10 days in Rwanda as part of the Reaching Rwanda project.

We believe that there is much to be learnt away from the classroom and encourage our students to take advantage of all opportunities open to them.

Framestore, London

As part of enrichment our Sixth Form students visited Framestore, a Bafta and Oscar-awarding winning creative studio that offers a range of visual effects, production, direction and post production services. They are known for creating extraordinary images and scenes for some of Hollywood’s biggest movies. Some of out students were lucky enough to go back for work experience after the visit.

Geography Residential Trip, Wales

Our Geographers were given to opportunity to put what they learnt in the classroom into practice with a residential trip to Wales. This helped them to understand the concepts they had learnt in the classroom and develop their skills as well as developing titles for their A-Level coursework.

Jack the Ripper Tour, London

As part of the enrichment programme the Year 13 students were offered the opportunity to take part in a trip to London, which included a Jack the Ripper tour and lunch at Borough Market. This was a wonderful opportunity for the students to bond and build on their friendships as they entered their final year.

Food Science Residential, Florence

Our Year 13 Food Science students took part in the residential trip to Florence, Italy to learn more about food and have some amazing, hands on cooking lessons with fantastic Italian chefs. They learnt new techniques that they were able to bring back to their lessons at Sandhurst School.

Reaching Rwanda

Students in our Sixth Form are able to sign up to be a part of the Reaching Rwanda visit, helping the children that the charity supports. Students help to paint houses, teach lesson, hand out donations to the children and really make a difference to peoples lives as a part of this wonderful opportunity.
