Learning
*Please support your child to develop 'Learner Agency'. This means teaching your child to be independent, resilient and taking ownership of their own learning. A good and simple example is for your child to carry their own bag.
*Poetry book goes home every week. Please read with your child to build fluency.
*Bring book bags to school every day and sign your child's reading log after reading with your child.
*Seesaw is an online platform where students share their learning. Please consider writing thoughtful comments about the learning done in class.
*At the end of every strand. RE books are taken home. Please discuss with your child the learning they have done and write a comment in the Comment box about what was discussed at home. Remember that you, as parents, are the first teacher
Food
*It is important to pack for your child a full and healthy morning tea and lunch to get them through the day.
*Bring fruits and veges every day. We will have a short 'fruit break' everyday before morning tea.
*Students are recommended to bring a water bottle which can be refilled at school.
*In order to reduce our waste at school, children will take home their lunch rubbish so that it can be part of your home recycling system. This is an opportunity to see what food has been eaten.
Uniform:
*Ensure that your child's uniform is clearly labeled.
*Please bring your child’s PE clothes (top and shorts) to school every day.
*Students are responsible for all their belongings.

*Not enough/ poor quality sleep can negatively affect children’s behaviour, learning, health and wellbeing.
*Avoid giving your child food and drinks containing caffeine as it can affect their sleep.
*It is important for children to be active throughout the day. Activity can also help your child to sleep.
*Encourage your child to spend time in bright sunlight but don’t forget to be sunsmart! Avoid lots of activity in the hour before bedtime.
PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning)
The vision is to empower our students to make moral choices by using a wide range of classroom and school wide incentives to reinforce positive behaviours. We use M.A.R.Y (or the 3 Rs) to guide us.
