Nau Mai, Haere Mai and welcome back for Term 4 of 2022. We hope you have all had a good break and are refreshed and ready for an exciting last term of learning for 2022.
A friendly reminder that the school gate does not open until 8.00am, please do not drop your students off before this time as there is no adult supervision provided. Please ensure that students arrive at school by 8.30am so that they can get ready for the day.
Please note the Sancta Maria Catholic Primary School’s bell times and organisation:

Our students are expected to be responsible for their own possessions and this will be easier if all their clothing and equipment is clearly named.
As fuel for their learning, your child will need a nutritious and healthy lunch and morning tea. We are a health promoting school and kindly ask you to ensure that lollies, chocolate, fast food and flavoured drinks are not brought to school. School lunches can be ordered through this website https://www.dollarforschools.co.nz.
Thank you for your support with ensuring your child has the correct uniform. As it is Term 4 all students should start wearing their Summer uniform, including black school sandals and school hats. No hat, no play. All students must have their school PE gear at school every day.
Please also make sure that if your child has pierced ears they only wear small gold or silver studs. Hair should be tied up if it is long enough to touch the collar and should not cover the face.
Here is our learning focus for Term 4:
We will be continuing the concept of ‘The Common Good’
The Enduring Understanding for this learning is: . Throughout our Te Wa, the Common Good is reached when we work together to improve the wellbeing of people in our society and the wider world.
As part of this we will be asking:
How is the Common Good?
How does our faith shape the Common Good?
How do our actions have an impact on the Common Good?
Please note that at the discretion of the teacher, home-learning will be assigned via Seesaw and will reflect the learning happening in class. You will be notified when a new home-learning activity has been assigned.
