3D printer:
I love the stars and adore looking at them in the sky, I wanted to have one for real ⭐⭐, I'm just joking 😂.
I used the website "printables" to choose a 3D design, and I wanted simply to made a medal in star shape like this one and then downloaded it so I'll be able to prepare the design.
Laser Cutter :
I love the vibes of Ramadan and it is almost 3 months and it will come to enlighten our life again, so I'm so exited to prepare for it starting from that amazing model.
I used "3axis.co" website to download the design.
3D Printer " Ultra Maker Cure"
To prepare my file, so I'll be able to fabricate it using the machine, I used software program "Ultra maker cure".
I installed it following the instructions, starting from choosing the type of the machine which will be " Creality Ender-3/ Ender -3v2", then I uploaded the file in "stl" extension, and start to adjust it to get less timing frame.
Timing: 1:28 minutes Infill density: 10% profile: 0.2 Layer Hight: 0.3 Adhesion: Skirt
Also I made sure that the adhesion, and the support are on, after slicing I downloaded the file in "G.codefile"
Laser Cutter
I used software "Laser cad" To adjust and prepare the DXF file of "Ramadan Kareem" costar.
First, I select the parameter of the shape and moved it to the top right close to the origin, then I select the lines using different colors to "Cut to be red, engrave is in black and speed cut in bleu lines", in different speed and power:
Cut : speed is 10 and power 65
Scan (Engrave) : Speed is 200 and power 40
Speed cut: Speed is 200 and power 30
finally I saved the file so the next step will be fabrication, can't wait 😍!
Using the open source to find the right model for both laser and 3D printer, as I got lost in the files and some of them not in "dxf" or "stl". I overcome this situation by using "3axis.co" and "printables" websites to download the right extension design for both machines.
Installing the software, it takes a round one hour to install the ultra maker cure software for the preparation of the 3d printing fill, in the beginning I wasn't able to choose the printer as once I scrolled down to be able to add the right one " Creality Ender-3/ Ender -3v2", the app get closed. I tried multiple times and didn't know the issues, but finally I made it.
The laser cutter software not able to open with me at the first, I got the help from the instructors as It was downloaded and compressed so we overcame this issue by removing the compression by Winrar app.
The design that I wanted to be fabricated using the laser cuter was in cdr extension so I fixed this issue by using online converter to convert cdr to dxf file , to be able to use with the laser cad software.
The laser cad file should be saved in rld extension, however that didn't show to me as the only option was UD5, so I saved it as a DXF file.
laser Cutter and Challenges
I used the laser cutter machine to fabricate that design after adjusting it using laser CAD software and it takes around 8 minutes maximum. First it starts with engraving the selected points, then the speed cut " اهلا رمضان", finally it did the cutting and was amazing experience starting from exporting the file till getting it as a tangible design in your hand.

Challenges that faced me were related to the quality of the wood sheet due to the incorrect storage which cause the humidity to the sheet and that affected on making part of the crescent not being cut , so I tried to fix that by redownloaded the file and made all the parts that already done with zero power and the only part that has the Issue with the cutting normal power and that was super good.
I have learnt also that the small design like the crescent of the mosque will not be fabricated and will break with the sheet as it is very small and fragile, so in the next time I can adjust it to make it bigger or insert a circle around it.
3D Printing and Challenges
The file was exported to the memory card in 3mf extension to be sure from the orders not making any error with the machine, then adjust the heat to be 210 c and keep my eyes on the machine to double check that the layers will be built in the right way and that the model is adhered to the bed.
After the estimated time I wait till the heat be near to the room temperature, so the model will not collapse.

The only challenge was related to he material also because of the humidity it affect the model shape to not be smooth and has those fine lines.
