The recipe for unique DIY is creativity, creativity and creativity. Use those cardboard boxes for something else then for packing old stuff that you don’t need anymore. It says that behind every attractive room there should be a very good reason. A beautiful cardboard Lamp, made out of recycled material, gives you enough good reason to take it home. You will be amazed at what you can turn the cardboard box into. All these lamps are made out of corrugated cardboard. But what we really like about them is the geometric pattern. We believe it would look great in your kid’s room or even a dorm room.
and with a moveable part, it can change the pattern that appears every turn. Enjoy!
There are 1 software and 3 inspired website used:
Tinkercad: used to make a virtual circuit and simulate it before applying it to check if it is applicable or not and to make a wiring diagram for the circuit of the device.
2. Google : used to find inspirational ideas and ways to apply them and search for solutions for problems faced.
3. Pinterest: used to find inspirational ideas and ways to apply them and search for solutions for problems faced.
4. Autodesk Instructables: used to find inspirational ideas and ways to apply them and search for solutions for problems faced.

There are 2 main Material used:
1. CardBoard sheets
2. PVC Roll as transparent material for lights.

PVC Roll
Mini breadboard
ِAdaptor 5V
DC Geared Motor
ON/OFF switch
Resistors
Dc Power Jack
Potentiometer
The creation of the circuit on TinkerCad:
The circuit contains 2 different components ( Red LED, and DC Geared Motor )
The circuit gives us 2 outputs: light, and variable speed motor.
I used color coding, red for positive and black for negative.
The voltage of the power supply is 5 volts( using 5 volts because the devices don't consume much power so I save it from high voltage).
Connecting the components in parallel.
using parallel circuits to prevent divided of volts and make components work well independently of each other
The Electrical circuit simulation on TinkerCad
cut the cardboard to build the outer shape of device taking in consideration the place of the component opening,
Add PVC sheet to card board to make cool light and glue it with glue gun.
check the orientation of pieces to each other's
check the clearance of pieces to each other's
.make the circuit for the device (like the wiring diagram shown above on tinker CAD) and check its functionality
check the functionality of smart door as shown in the video at the assignment links.
install components to cardboard
Check the functionality of Table Light Shade
as shown in the video at the assignment links.
When I decided to make this lantern moveable pattern shade I used many LEDs to create a strong light you can see in the opposite walls.
so when they connected they would be close to each other and could make a short in the circuit causing problems and burning the components.
so I asked my instructor Hala about a solution, and she advised me to add a species of heat shrink tube in one leg of LEDs to avoid short circuits and in addition to know the polarity from it to avoid mistakes in installing.
LEDs before adding the Heat shrink to it
LEDs after adding the Heat shrink to it
LEDs with heat shrink after installing to circuits.
