The idea is inspired by the cool men who want to see the world with other views, even with lenses made from wood, to fabricate the front glasses by the normal shape of glasses by laser cut, and fabricating the glasses arms by 3D printing. It can move even with the one screw holding it. and send a message to future (Fly me).
There are 3 main software and 2 machines used:
1. Fusion 360: used to design the shape of front glasses in the shape of Pinhole glasses and to design the glasses' arms and assemble them virtually.
2. Ultimaker cura: used to adjust and slice the design of glass arms before printing by 3D printer machine.
2. RD works: used to adjust the design of front-glass, adust the power and speed of cut-speed cut, and scan before cutting by laser-cut machine.

There are 2 main machines used:
1. 3d printing machine (Prusa i3 MK2) to print a 3d model for the glass arms .
2.laser cutting machine (AlMalky ML149) to cut the front-glass

There are 2 main Materials used:
1. 3d printing filament is PLA to print a 3d model for the glass arms.
2. Laser cutting Plywood 3 mm to cut the front-glasses

1.Use the dimensions of real sunglasses and draw a sketch with those dimensions to design it easily on fusion 360
2.Design the front glasses in the fusion 360 sketch by using proper dimensions .
3. Take care of a fully defined sketch by using proper dimensions and constraints.
4. Extrude the overall sketch of the face of glasses.
5. Design the sketch of the arms with fully defined dimensions on a plane by a sharp edge at the end of the arm.
6. Design a perpendicular sketch to the first sketch of the arms and draw the path on it with fully defined dimensions on a plane.
7. Extrude the overall sketch first one sketch of the arms of glasses.
8. Sweep the overall second sketch on the path sketch of the arms of glasses.
9. Design a perpendicular sketch to the first sketch of the arm draw nuts and holes and with fully defined dimensions on a plane.
10. Extrude the overall sketch with cut options first sketch of the arms of glasses to cut the nut position.
11. Extrude the overall sketch with cut options first sketch of the arms of glasses to cut the hole position.
12. Fillet the overall body to have a nice shape and less stress concentration
13. Mirror the overall body to have Another one.
14. Assembly of the overall bodies to have a cool glass .
15 . Adding the appearance features (Color, Material...etc) for glasses
16 . Export laser cut parts by Save as dxf (Because you have a lot of lines you need to classify to cut and Scan)
17 . Export 3d Printing parts by using save as mesh as stl extention.
I Imported a file with a dxf extension having the front of glass and determined the places of cuts and cravings (determined by colors) by RD Works software. finally, save the file in rld format for cutting.
parameters :
Laser cut: speed 25, power 45.
Laser cut for speet cut (engraving) speed300, power 15.
Laser scanning speed250, power 25.
File Prepation of RD works V8
Save the file as a PLT extension , connect to the machine, and then click download .
select the file on machine and start to cut it
use ultimaker cura to adjust the arms position, infill denisty, resolution, infill shape and supports before printing on 3D printer.
parameters are:
infill density: 20%
resolution: draft 0.15
without adhesions and supports
take 74 mins- 8g
File Prepation of ULTIMAKER CURA
save the file a G code With this name (Mustafa Glass PLA Purple 74min -8gm -0.15 mm)
load the file to SD card then start to print it.

The 3d printing machine:
Prepare the STL file with proper properties as mentioned above.
Take the file on the reader to the printer with the defined grams & time required.
adjust heating and use PLA filaments to begin printing.
The file is printed and no needs for adhesions or supports shown in the attached photos.

The laser cut machine:
Prepare the file on laser work to determine that the edges will be cut, lines with speed cuts, or engraves.
Preview the file and download it to the machine.
Adjust the origin and the file properties before beginning.

Hala ( my instructor) and Layla (Fab Lab Specialist) helped me to change the filament color and clean it well, and it worked well
they helped me to fix a wooden sheet on the platform of laser cut because of curvature in the sheet.
Hala tried to fix the problem of missing Y letter in scanning and she told me she would send a video to explain to me how to solve it.
So I want to thank Hala, Layla, and Abdelrahman for their wonderful work, effort, and cooperation with me in doing this task. and also Yehia for his advice to me.
The first challenge I wanted to solve was the problem of centering so I decided to add extra pieces to the arm and notch in the face to locate the glasses face with its arm
The second challenge I want is to bend the arm to can store it without the need to remove the screw and nut with a special required piece of 3d printing and screw for fixation. so I develop this connection to do the function without over the rules
The Third challenge I want to use the glasses as sunglasses without using the different materials and over the rules of the task so I decided to use small holes like the mesh to see through it and prevent sunlight from passing through my eyes.
The fourth challenge was to make decorations for my product to increase the beauty interface so I wrote cool words on it to be lovely in use. (FLY ME)
By learning how to fabricate materials needed to construct the project either through laser-cut for boards cutting or by printing complex designs by 3D printer
By learning how to use fabrication software to prepare any design by Ultimaker Cura and RD works.
Using tools such as "fusion 360" to learn how to design the physical components of a project. This software allows me to create all of my designs in one workspace, in two or three dimensions and makes it simple to visualize the relationships between them and simulate the screws and connections.
Exporting files for a 3D printer or laser cutting software is too simple.
I gained knowledge about new ideas during the green session, such as the blue economy and its distinctions from the circular economy. Additionally, the IKAGAI concept for the product and how to find a sweet spot while achieving various parts of the product.
