We start this week with learning Fusion 360.
The assignment was create a cool eye glasses.
Because I familiar with Adobe Illustrator I start my design with tracing a picture of shark mouth and start drawing, but after ask my instructor told me it can not be fully defined. So I decide to change the design to geometric design to get more knowledge of Fusion 360.
Design Application:
Fusion 360
Applications:
RDWorksV8
UltiMaker Cura 5.9.0
Machines:
LaserCut Machine
3D Printer
Materials:
Plywood
Filament (PLA)
First, I take the measurements of my sunglasses and input them into Fusion 365 to design a stylish pair of glasses. Once the front frame design is fully defined I extrude the design and export it as a *.dxf file, allowing me to import it into the DRWorks application.
Laser Cut
3D Print
Draw sketch and fully defined it, then make the extrude.
Make fillet then Copy and paste the component.
Hide the copied component.
Export the file to SLT
Import the SLT to UltiMaker Cura, and Generate GCode.
Add appearance.
Laser Cut Machine controller
Setting for Cut in laser machine
Setting for scan in laser machine
I use laser cut to fabricate the front face of eyeglass.
I start by downloading my file to machine.
then I press file "button" in machine and select my file.
Next set the region and press "frame" button to ensure the design fits properly within the available space on wood.
First I show my file to specialist , she suggest to remove the support and adhesive since the arm design not need it .
After that I generate GCode of the design, and transfer the file to 3D printer.
Slicing:
Profile: 0.3 Extra Fast
Infill: 20.0
Time: 47 mins
Weight: 12g
After show final eyeglass to colleges they suggest that this corner would be rounded instead of this sharp corner.
Title of Media
At the beginning of design I want to make a free drawing I tried a lot in drawing but after a lot of trials and after ask the instructor I decide the try drawing depending on geometric shapes. And I did it successfully.
First I start drawing on paper then I found it is easy to draw these shapes on fusion.
