First, I gave my imagination the freedom to do whatever it wanted, so I decided to make a toy as I entered the diploma to develop myself in making toys. But I realized that one of the requirements of the task was a single piece of 3D printing and laser cutting. So I took a step backward and started over, searching for a design. I tried to make something I would use in my daily life because I really fell in love with the 3D printer and the laser machine. I decided to make something that will always be with me. Also, I am passionate about Islamic geometry, so I chose a laser-cut design related to that.
What I chose:
3D Print: A key chin and mobile stand.
Laser Cut: a piece of Islamic Geometry.

3D Print:
I find the design I want and download it.
It was a key chin and mobile stand all in one design, it was a simple design and will take only 40 mins.
In photo you can find the parameters I set.
Then I generate the GCode to transfer it to SD Card.
Laser Cut:
I choose the design .dxf and import it to RDworks app. Then I chose what will be cut and will be speed cut then I put the parameters for both speed cut and cut.
I choose the design to be 15 cm * 15 cm.
At the end I exported the file to .rld

Laser Cut Project:
on software:
I import the *.*rld file of my project to RDWorks app.
I decide to make Cut and Speed Cut on the project.
I set the scale because it was too small.
Then download it on the laser cut machine.
on Laser Machine:
First I turn on the laser machine suction.
Then I press on file and chose my file . set the origin on wood sheet and try the framing to make sure that the cut will be in the right place.
After make sure everything is OK I press START.

After I download the project, I generate the G-Code file and put it on Machine Card. Tried to reset resolution and infill to short the time . after all the time became 47 mins.
on Laser Machine:
I insert the SD card, click on my file then the magic happened

Because I am not familiar of converting CM to MM. I set the dimension of Laser cut project too small instead if 15* 15 cm it was 1.5*1.5 cm by Frame button I find out this mistake and defiantly by help of lab specialist .

I become more familiar with laser cut machine and 3D Printer.
Definitely give me more confidence of using both.

The idea that I can 3D print things made me really love the 3D printer and sparked my interest in learning more about it.
