what inspired me ? , nothing in particular
the weather nowadays is too hot ,so I decided to make a small practical fan with a small led
cardboard for enclosure
and gluegun for gathering al things together

Tinkecad
the electronic components
crocodile wires
jumpers
mini breadboard
12 v dc fan
on-off switch
9v adaptor
female plug adaptor
red LED
first I designed the circuit on tinker cad ,to simulate it and check it's working before wiring in real
I connect the led first with a 200 ohm resistance series connected to protect the led and divide the voltage
as we now led has polarity so the current must go through one direction
the circuit is preferred to be connected in parallel not series and that what I did
after getting the dc motor I connected it in parallel to the same power source
then I get the slide switch and connected it with one of the terminals of the power source to control the dc motor and the led
the circuit works almost perfectly but there's a note saying the current through the led is above recommended
to solve this problem we can decrease the voltage in the power supply or rais the series resistor
I used a 12 volt adaptor I had before
as I use an old 12 v fan that I have
and it was amazing I used it on my desk because this summer was so hot
and used the 1k ohm resistor with the led to prevent it from frying
for the usage of the power switch
It works to cut the current and connect it
So I connected it to the power source is series as shown in the simulation
so when I let it on it powers the 2 devices at the same time
Video of the simulation
applying the wiring
to connect the component in parallel
to connect in parallel means that we give each component thepower
from the power source alone
I connected the positive and negative from the end of the breadboard and
the negative part of the led on the negative part of the power supply
same for the fan
I decided to make it in a box of carboard
so I decided to design the firs face containing the fan itself
I drew its dimension and started cutting it with the cutter
and put the fan using the wax gun
after connecting the circuit I waxed the breadboard on the ground
and made to holes on the side to put the on-off switch
and the female plug adapter
and here is the connection inside the device
the final outcome

the challenge was that I had a 12v adaptor to power the 12 fan
but the problem was the led and led can be powered with 5 volts
with 220ohm resistance ,after I connected the 12 v adaptor
The first led got burned
Then I noticed that it's cccurrent Was far more than the recommended
I measured it with multimeter and to ensure it
so I used the 1k ohm with the led and it worked perfectly
the led will take more current than it can handle
I learned the importance of power management .
Using the parallel connection to connect the LED and the fan .
And the importance of the switch , as completion and safety for the project
