my IDEA : I wanted to make a cool keychain so I chose the STRONG MARVEN he is cool and funny and I wanted some thing related with mechanical field so i chose the GEAR COASTER it was nice and simple
Laser : I learned more about the layer cutting machine and understood how it works. It was the first time I knew this information, so it was a very good addition for me.
3D Printer : In 3D Print, I learned how to choose the shape that would create the project I wanted in the appropriate way, so that I could dispense with supports and use the appropriate amount of material.
For STRONG MARVEN we will need to use 3DPrinter so I will use Ultimaker Cura software to prepare the (*gcode) file that will be sent to the 3D printer Creality Ender 3 v2 and i will chek the supports and The material will be PLA and its color is red .
WHY ? Because The machine, I did not choose it, because it is the one available in Mansoura and the program to work on it and it is easy to use the subject because it is the simplest thing we can work with and because we do not need to do complex needs very much
Creality Ender 3 v2
Ultimaker Cura
For the Gear coaster I will use the laser cutter I'll use Laser Work V6 software to prepare the (*rld) file that will be sent to the Laser Cutting machine. The material will be wood.
WHY? Because the laser machine available in Mansoura and the program is easy to use and fast
The Steps ......
Download the design file (dxf)
Open LaserWork software and import (dxf) file
Start to select lines and coloring it related to color function which related to design :-
black : for cutting
blue : for speed cut
red : for scanning
Put numbers for these colors
black : 20mm/s for speed - 75% for power
blue : 300mm/s for speed - 30% for power
red : 300mm/s for speed - 40% for power
export the file to (plt) format to be prepared for laser cutting
Download the design file (stl)
Open UltiMaker-Cura software and import (stl)
start to adjust model parameter values for:
layer height : using 0.16mm
infill : using 10%
supports : normal supports
adhesion : no need
4.slice the model to get time and weight for model
time :80 min
weight : 5g
save the file to desk to (g.code) format to be prepared for 3D printing
In the LASER CUTTER , after we create the design on the laser work and determine the colors, power and speed, we start uploading the file to the machine and start the steps by setting the sheet on the machine. After that, we determine the center point. After that, we adjust the focus. After that, we set the frame for the design. After that, we turn on the machine and let it cut the wood.
IN 3D Printer After downloading the file, I set the size and determined the amount of the material, its type infill , the thickness of the layers, and the thickness of the same, then we download it to the printer and start in the character of the model, and the time and the material of the crisis
yes they helped me to adjust the right power because the wooden sheet was wet
In LASSER CUTTING
the wooden sheet was wet so i found it hard to adjust the right power I raised the power to 75 and tried it to cut off, but some burns occurred
the solution : It is trying more than once to find out the appropriate fit power
In 3D PRINTING
I think I didn't face any difficulty in it, but the problem was in the size. The original size of the body would take a long time, so I had to make the size much smaller.
For the FINAL PROJECT I learned the first step in designing and implementing the robot(ZEZO🤖 ), and this is how I make the body with the 3D Printer and laser cutter
Everything was really great. I enjoyed every moment of the week and everything was unforgettable. I learned a lot of things that I wanted to learn for a long time, and this is one of the things that makes me very happy.
