Anubis Weighing the heart
This week, my assignment idea is inspired by the Ancient Egyptian ritual of “Weighing of the Heart” — a powerful myth where Anubis, the god of the afterlife, weighs a person’s heart against the feather of Ma’at to judge their purity. My concept reimagines this moment with a melting heart on the scale — symbolizing emotional release, redemption, and the transformative power of truth. I was drawn to this idea because it blends mythology, symbolism, and emotion in a visually and spiritually rich way. It speaks to how even the heaviest hearts can soften when faced with honesty, love, or self-realization. I found inspiration in scenes from the Book of the Dead and modern reinterpretations of the myth, such as this digital artwork by Guillem H. Pongiluppi and the animated weighing scene in The Prince of Egypt. These visual and cultural references helped shape the emotional depth and symbolic layering I want to explore in my wor

I was intending doing the infill 0%. The lab supervisor instructed me make it at least 5% as the design sure is thin but wide and thus can break.
When i started 3D printing, at the first layer, i noticed the scale was wrong. I came back to fusion 360 and edited the dimensions. As the component was fully defined it was easy to fix it.
