I took Inspiration from this picture that I found on google, but instead of 3 compartment , I made 2 compartment
FOR Laser Cut
EL Malky ML 149 C02 Laser Cutter
Plywood
RDworks
First, I started to create a new file and then saved after this I started to make a new components
I started to create the sketch of the Side A and made fully define with adding a photo of pencil and pen in the middle of each compartment, so in this side a took a dimension 100mm high and 160mm width with 3mm to separate the two compartments. Then I trim above and used 3-point arc to make this shape. I also added an X Slot
After finishing, I started to make the Side B, with 100mm hight and 80mm width with a T-Slot and x-slot
This sketch is the side c who separate my box to two compartments, so a made with Tabs to joint easily.
This Sketch is the Back my box , I projected directly the whole and tabs of the Side A and I draw a rectangle outside the wholes with a X-slot and a T-Slot with 2 arc to make like somewhere to hold easily
This sketch is the bottom of my box; I projected the wholes of all sides and then I drew the rectangle according to my box
Side A with 3mm Extruded
Side B
Side C
The Back
After finishing I joined them one by one
First i exported the Dxf file to the Rdworks
Without any changing the scale, I started to adjust the cut part with black color and the scan part with blue
Then I adjusted the speed and the power
Finally, i sent the "Ai" file to the machine
Cut Scan
Speed: 40mm/S Speed: 300mm/s
Power:45% Power:20%
I sent the file to the machine
The machine started to cut
The File outcome
Final outcome After Screwing the M3
I had a lot of trouble to how to make the Side A fully defined specially the 3point arc but after many attempts and some help , I made it fully defined. As you can see I started to defined first the corners and then the radius of the arc and also the angle.
Me and my partner, we made a lanther box with different shape inside, it was the first time that I make a this😂 and I really enjoyed
