Design a model of a pen and pencil holder that may rest on a flat surface .. i think it's good training to try how can i fit and assemble many parts which i have designed on fusion 360. as i really want to make paper holder with pen holder because i usually put important papers on the surface of my tables so i am excited to arrange my peppers. so i marge pen and paper holder in one.

this program is very professional it allows you to fully control on your model like infill, adhesion, resolution and show the time and weight required for finial product
to be honest it's not professional program but it's totally free and it's good enough by using it i can make some changes like color, cut ,scan ,speed cut and scale
i print by using PLA materials

don't forget to ground your basic component to fix it
component 1 front face it has two hole to fix two brackets with it

component 2 i drew it on the surface of bracket it will stand pens from side

this 5 mm holes where pens's head will stand on them
component 4, draw it on the back side of part3 base it will be supported by A4 paper which will be in first slot.
NOTE THAT:
i have made mistake here while i was extruding this part the orientation of extruding was to out of shape which will cause bad shape in finial and may it appear as open line between parts

component 6 back part which will be supported by paper in second room, i avoid that mistake i have told you above so it loooks great.
after i've built full shape based on each other, it's side role, so to make it easier i draw on side by using projected lines which save a lot of time and effort.
component 7 and 8 two side parts, after draw it and project lines it easily extrude to out and make coper of it to opposite side.
so exporting the bracket parts to STL file and then i adjust printing setting by using CURA

after exporting them i have 7 DFX files for 8 parts
exporting every face by using DFX extension.
here is the second mistake i have made, i will write about it below in overcoming challenges 😅
i collect them in 3 sheets size 30*50 and save it to rld files

while using cutting laser machine

while i was exporting DFX files i forget to edit the dfx extension settings so i left laser kerf 0.15 mm which is too many increases in the length,
so it cause not accuracy in assemble parts special with tabs and their slots.
so lab specialist advice me to grind slots and tabs, So i had to grind about 20 tabs and slots
it is clear that it's assemble hardly but thanks God they have assembled well

the finial shape is very cool and it can collect all my stationary items addition to my books and important papers
the really coolest thing i have learnt is how can we make joint parts by line or area, special i like animation of fusion while different components are getting together
