My inspiration came from the search in google
3D Printer software, machine and materials
cura Software
we use it to
adjust the orientation and choose the best position for printing
choose the infill percentage and the draft the layer height
slice the part to see how much would it take and if there's any adjustment can de done or parameters to be adjusted
PLA
Prusa 3D Printer
Laser software, machine and materials
3 mm ply wood
RDwork laser software
for the purpose of
adjusting the orientation of the part
choose the the paramters of speed and power for cutting, engraving and speed cut activity
laser machine
Started looking on the internet for the size of it
made a free-hand sketch as a simulation for it
Opened Fusion 360 remembering rules 1 & 2 of saving and creating a new component
started drawing by creating a new component for the side which was (95 mm * 85 mm) making the u slot and t slot for fixation then making the pattern
after that, I made a copy of it for the other side and pasted it as a new component
I made another copy then adjusted the sketch for the size and made a new pattern to be reasonable as a front face and back face of dimensions
(95 mm * 140 mm)
made a new component for the middle side to make 2 compartment pen holder
assembled all together using a joint feature to start drawing the bottom part
made a new component then a sketch with projection for the parts in the sides, front, back, and middle then drew the bottom
finally extruded it and made the holes for the bracket
Laser cutting
open the file on RD works
checked the parameters with the specialist (Speed= 30 Power= 55)
Downloaded the file to the machine
Fixed the sheet and opened the blower
Adjusted the nozzle of the beam
identify the origin point on the wood sheet.
choose the file from the machine memory.
frame to simulate the size of the cut on the sheet.
Press enter to start the process.
3D printing
1- open the STL file using Ultimaker-Cura software.
2- Recheck the parameter with the instructor
3- Change the scale and the orientation again to decrease the time frame
4- do simulations to see the way that machine will perform.
5- save the file as a G-code with the name of the body, Material, grams, and time.
6- download the STL file from the machine memory.
7- choose the file to print.
8- Adjust the temperature and wait for the printer to be heated
9- press enter to start the process.
After making a component
when I copy and paste the component, the edits I did on the new one were done also on the older one
I asked the instructor and she told me that I have to paste the component as a new one (Paste new)
i learned on how can i utilize the software to join multiplt parts and make a simulation in order not to lose material
