I got inspired from this picture in google web website.
This week we have todesign the pen and pencil holder so that it consists of multiple 2.5D parts (at least three) and assemble them using proper joints. Fabricate the 2.5D parts using Laser Cutting .

For preparing the dxf file for the laser cutting machine
AutoCad Software is used for sketching & designing
Screws & nuts are used for assembling the parts of my design
The design will be engraved on it.
First, I created the right side of my models, I used the straight lines to decorate the side with triangles ,then I used the Mirror for the other left side the width 280, height 120.
Then I created the back and the middle side with width 144.933mm, height 120mm.
I used the joint fnction to join all parts together .
Then I create the base by using projection in the down side of the model .
I used "Tslot" to fix my parts together after cutting.
Then save it as "DXF". then used RD works to add text and some images to my model.

I imported all pencil holder parts in RDWorks
I used in the cut parts :Speed 30 ,Max and Mini Power 55.
In Scan parts : Speed 250, Max and Mini Power 10.
In Scan parts : Speed 300, Max and Min Power 10

I used RD works to add text and images to my model
There is a trouble shooting in using the ElMalkey machine, that the USB cable in the machine damaged, So the Lab Specialist decided to use the external USB to send our models to the machine.
I uploaded the model's parts to RDworks then save it as "save to U file", then send it to the USB, after I put the USB in the machine, I checked the "track" button to make sure that the area is suitable then clicked "Run"
I faced a problem with projection parts and with sketches and bodies as while I am working it added in another component, I asked my friend for her suggestion.
Also, after I cut the model, I found the Middle part of my design need a "bracket " to fix it.
I have to Prototype my model before design it on fusion can have the complete image to my project.
