This week we have to design an eyeglass /sunglass. The frame fabricates from Laser cutter, and the templates from 3D printing.
I get inspired from a google
the sketch with the dimensions i took from my own real glasses
simple circle with 50mm diameter and then offset with 4mm to make the inner circle
I sketched also a 3mm hole for the bolt and a square border for this bolt
and then i made a center line to make mirror from right to left
here i made extusion with 3 mm as wood plate
The appearance and choosing material oak wood from the library in fusion 360
Extrude by 3 mm for the wood material thickness and extrude cut for the lenses and the bolt holes 3 mm
here i sketch the arm with the dimensions of my real glasses i designed a simple arm for my glasseswith 2 sketches
on 3d printer the the bold hole should be 3.3 or 3.2 not 3mm because when the plastic is cooled it reducing the size
2 extrude by 3mm and 140 mm as shown in figure and also use the fillet 3mm feature for better shape than sharped
here I choosed from appearance menu the plastic matrial
I opened the stl file in Cura program.
I didn't add Support as it doesn't need support.
it took 24 mins on the machine
The infill was 20 ,Layer Hight DRAFT 0.3 ,Support 0, Speed 60, Top layer 0.8 ,
Printing temperature :215, Bed:60 ,Speed 60.
The grams : 5g for the 2 arms
I sliced the model ,then saved it as g-code.
I saved the file of the glasses' frame as a DXF file to insert it on LaserWork. The design is inserted and the adjustment phase took place as I deleted the overlapped lines and the extra lines was also deleted and then decided what to be cut from the sheet. I used in the cut parts :Speed 10 ,Max and Mini Power 60.
For 3D Printing the process was as follows:
first, i choosed the color then unload the old loaded PLA and load the new one
Set the temperature to 215
put the file on the microcard
chose the file on the machine and let's go

put the rld file in a flash memory and download it in the machine(In laser work)
Turn on the machine and set the origin of the cutting.
from File >> upload the file>> see the estimated time >> see cutting track
Press enter to start cutting
Under supervision of the instructor we uploaded the file on the machine after checking the required modifications such as speed an power.
2-Using machine
First step we need to check from the hight by using a focus as a standard.
Second check is the origin of the plywood material.
As long as we change any parameters we should reset teh origin again.
Finally close the transparent safety cover and press start the process
The arc between the 2 circles was too thin and wasn't strong enough, unfortunately it has been brocken,, then next time i should care so much about the dimentions of the links not 1 mm thickness i need at least 5 mm thickness

my final project Harry potter glasses i learnt how to take the dimensions from the real life as i took from my own glasses and also i searched on google it helped me to improve seaching skill and more experience in laser cutting and 3d printing
I learned how to use the machines by myself. Coolest thing is the specialists in the lab are very helpful and learned me how to use the machines and to do all the steps by myself.
this project with my team was so amazing i have known how to use the laser cutter very well and know the steps beginning from uploding the file to the machine , set the level of the nozzle by a level of cube and set the orgin and tracking /scaning the wood plate
