This week was very challenging for me, I couldn't find a clear idea for it. so, I searched too much based on visual feed

I wanted a pen holder that organizes pens, notes, and mobile to make sure all that you need is around you.

I found this design on Pinterest.

and as usual, I'll do it with my touch 😉😎

Tool Chain

Which software/machines/materials did you use in the assignment? Why?

For design:

I used Fusion 360 for laser cutting & 3d printing parts

For laser cutting:

laser cad software and el Malky laser machine and plywood

For the 3d part:

I used Cura to adabt the file and the machine was prusai3 mk2.

and white pla filament

Design/Preparation Process

Explain the design and/or preparation process of your assignment. How did you use the tool or software to design and/or prepare your assignment before fabrication/implementation?

first i draw the bottom of the design with dimensins 130*100

then i skitched the side as a new component with t slote ans two x slots

extrude thw parts 3mm and made jionts

skitch the note part with x slote

extrude and put it with joint

design the part wth pen holder with x slots

add some details for pens and extrude it.and jiont it with all body

lets design the mobile holder and joint it with bacet to the bottom and give all the design a woody apperance

finally, save the wood parts asDXF and prepare them for the laser cutting using laser cad at speed 20 and power 70

, and save the 3d bracket as a mesh STL file and prepare it with Cura for printing with infill 20% with no support 0.3 extra fast.

Development/Implementation Process

Explain the development/implementation process of your assignment. How did you use the machine/tool to manufacture or implement the design of your assignment?

For laser cut parts :

i adapted the dxf file on laser cad and downloaded it to the el malky laser machine

set the plywood and defined the origin and start point then pressed start and enjoyed watching the process 🤩

For the 3d part:

I adapted the stl file on Cura and saved it as g code, I downloaded it to an sd card, inserted the sd card into prusa machine and loaded the file, it took 5 min for 1gm filament

I couldn't all laser cut parts together on the sheet as I adapted in laser cad .

so I adapted it again without one part which I adapted alone and cut individually, and the specialist helped me .
