Flame Heart glasses

cool glasses, mmmm let me think but the weather is hot like we burn, wait a minute ( burn, fire, flame ) I got it 😎 I was inspired by Falme so, I searched on Google and found a design that completed my idea .

Tool Chain

Which software/machines/materials did you use in the assignment? Why?

For design, I used Fusion 360. to design 2.5d frame and 3d hands.

For lasercut :

adapted the 2d part with a laser cad.

i used el malky laser machine and a 3m plywood sheet

For the 3d part :

I used Cura.to adjust the part

i used Prusa i3 mk2 machine and red pla filament

Design/Preparation Process

Explain the design and/or preparation process of your assignment. How did you use the tool or software to design and/or prepare your assignment before fabrication/implementation?

For the glass frame design, I sketched half heart shape using lines and arc then I used Miror to complete the shape, then I used offset to duplicate it.

I tried to draw flames using spline and tried to define it. then I used Mirror to skitch the other lens frame, then I connected the two parts by the bridge and used arc and lines for it.

then I sketched two circles with a 3.2mm dimension to fit M3 screws.

i tried hard to define all sketches and started to add all dimensions till it was fully defined.

finally, I extrude the design 3mm as the plywood sheet dimension. then I saved it as dxf to adapt it in Laser cad

I added HOT SUMMER at the edges of the frame with laser cad and adapted it for engraving.

for cut at speed 20 and power 70 , and engrave at speed 300 and power 50.

FOR 3d part of the hand of glasses I sketched it using lines and for edges, i used a fillet to adapt it.

Then I extruded the shape 4mm, then I added a rectangle for l shape with a circle3.2 mm to fit m3 screw and extrude the shape 4mm join.

then i choosed apperace with red colour pla.

finally I saved it as STL to adapt it with Cura.

Development/Implementation Process

Explain the development/implementation process of your assignment. How did you use the machine/tool to manufacture or implement the design of your assignment?

For the glasses frame:

I loaded the file from laser cad to the machine.

add the wood sheet and adpt the laser nosel.

adapt the machine define the origin and box to show the area of work, then start and enjoy watching the process.

For the glasses hand 3d part:

i adapted the file in cura with infill20% and layer hight 0.2 and no support or adhesion and saved it as gcode and isert it in the card

put it in machine dawnlood the file wait the machine to heat and enjoy

while i was designing the hands a couldn't make a mirror to make left hand . the arm was copied but the jiont not copy

i found the inestructor menna solving the proplem and i used her way and fix it correctly.

How can you use the skills and knowledge that you've acquired this week in your final project?

Final project:

as usual I added my touch and painted it with red glitter and my nephew put it on to try 😂😎😍

it looks amazing on him 😅
