This week my assignment idea is Mobile Phone Holder
All of us using mobile phone everyday in our life & i always watching videos on YouTube while i was working
And sometimes i am using it to watch a movie night with some sweets in my secret storage

I used Fusion 360 program in this assignment and made every piece with its parameters separately in sketches
My design took one & half Plywood sheets & Gray Spray

In the making
First of all, I decided to make a sketch first to calculate the parameters of the Mobile Phone Holder
And then I made the design on Fusion 360 with the same calculations before transferring it to the DXF file for laser cutting
I am starting with the sketches for each part separately for the box first (upper, lower, side, back) , then the storage parts (base, side, back) & finally the holder with its extension & Front Side
Each part i draw a rectangle with it's dimension & draw T-Slot & tabs then i used Mirror tool for each part, it was an amazing tool
After finishing the sketch & check that all parts are fully defined, I started to extrude all my sketches with 3mm to match the sheet that I will fabricate it
I made assembly to make sure that there were no problems while cutting
I export all sketches to DXF for preparing them on Laser Work for fabrication with Speed 15 & Power 70%

I prepare all my design on laser work by import all DXF files & arrange them beside each other to don't wast materials
I went to Fab Lab Egypt with my design on flash memory
I powered the laser cut machine & checked the focus after putting the Plywood sheet
I download the design to the laser cut machine
I went to the controller to check the origin point & check track frame
My design took one & half Plywood sheets
I pressed run & it takes 15 mins on all
Finally, after going home I spray my Mobile Holder with Gray color & then I assemble each part together with M3 screws & nuts

Ibrahim helps me with some tools in Fusion 360 like selecting bottom, will I want to save sketches it appears (Save as Mesh) Amani told me how to save it.
I asked all my lovely team for feedback they all like my Mobile Holder so much.
Really I am so lucky with all my team especially (Michael, Mohamed Adel, Mohamed Tarek & Rawan) & Instructors (Amani & Ibrahim)
They are more than helpful.

In the EOweek session, I & Mohamed Tarek designed a Miniature Rocking chair & we faced a problem that we need to increase the size of the lower part to didn't fall back
While I was joining all parts together in Fusion 360 I faced a problem, back storage & back box didn't join with the rest of the design
I asked Amany & Ibrahim & they helped me & I remeasure them again & solved the problem, so take care of the measurements & really the assembling is so nice to be sure that you design will be perfect before fabrication
They are interested to see the final result & that's it

I learned how to make objects with a laser cutter & this is the thing that I was interested in while I doing it
