The assignment for this week is making pen Holder with fusion 360
I searched in google to find a design that I could draw in Fusion 360 Then fabricated by 3D PRENTER , So I chose this shape And I adjusted it a little bit to suit the requirements.
Inspiration:
I used some tricks in the videos to create a random shape that looked a little like an eagle.
"PRUSA printer"
And I will use the Prusa 3D printer to print the pen holder.
Software:
"For Design"
I used "Fusion 360" to design the pen holder.
" For PRUSA printer"
I used "Cura slicer" to edit and set the printing parameters.
Material:
" For PRUSA printer"
I will use PLA gray Color.
chose the front to sketch on it and start sketching
drew a Draw two and a half sides using the command fit point spline
used the revolve feature To make the shape circular
Use the shell feature to empty the shape.
draw a new sketch with a random shape to decorate with the shape.
chose the offset plan Twice, one was raised 10 mm from the ground and the other was lowered -10 mm
choose a split body to separate the two parts from the body.
choose extrude intersect For small decoration
choose mirror For decoration on the other side.
Select both sides and then choose a circular pattern And they're repeated four times.
used fillet feature at the sharp edges.
Choose a front drawing on it and then draw a slightly slanted line that resembles the hand and then choose top to draw it and draw a circle
Choose the sweep command and select the circle in the first choice and then the path in the next choice and choose a new body
and finally choose combina To make them one body.
Choose to save the file in a format (STL)
CURA Software:
I downloaded the file with stl extension and open it directly on the Cura program to set the printing parameter for the printing machine :
I changed the scale to make the hight 5 cm
Material: Generic PLA
Printing temperature: 215 C
Layer height: 0.3mm
Infill:20
Support: touching plate
Adhesion: with adhesion
After that, we slice the design to get the estimated time, the estimated mass.
Finally, the g-code file is ready to send to the machine.
3D Printer :
inserted the SD card with G-code on it.
turned the machine on.
pressed the knob.
unloaded white filament and load the blue one.
pressed print from SD and chose the file.
now we are ready to start printingggggg.
pen holder with 3d printer
During the implementation of the mobile holder I had a big problem which is that the T SLOT was cut in a size less than 2 mm and salma helped me in this problem and I suggested to redraw the file by modifying those parts only and then re-cutting and that experiment succeeded
I started the week with a completely different design that could only be manufactured with a laser cutting, and I had a problem with it, and there was a difference between the layers of wood.
Well, I can now draw and fabricate the complex parts in my design.
I have learned some skills in 3D design using Fusion Software that will help in my final project.
the instructor asked us to make a part from stress release ball in groups and my teammate was gazally and hader we started to make the cube first then attach it to the ball which at the top of it the task took from us 40 minutes or less may be.
the instructors asked us to make the tallest tower in teams using just 12 A4 papers and my teammates were rawan ,Ghazaly so after a lot of discussion of how to make it i suggested to make cones and put them inside each other and while we reaching the top we were making tight cones to stick to the ones below them. so we finished and we were the winners because we made the longest tower
