Final Project Proposal
Project Ideation
1- Tell us about the purpose of your project. Which problem does it solve? Why do you care about this? What were you inspired by? Include images and videos of similar projects
Smart home
Smart home:
Again with the TV shows (😂) I remember seeing an episode in Khawater, where the presenter went to a smart home in Japan which has everything in it connected to a mobile application and also via the internet. While that looks wonderful and now pretty doable, still for me a huge leap forward, so I thought to start small and who knows? 🤷♀️
My idea is a mini smart home that senses movements at home, temperature, and other things and based on that reading takes certain actions.
2- Describe the project idea and general features. How would it work?
The basic idea is to control the door in two different ways, whether through a password entered via keypad or an RFID tag passed on the door.
-If the RFID tag was passed the door will open.
-If he doesn't have the tag, the user can enter the password through the keypad, and if correct a message will be viewed on the LCD screen, and the door will open.
-Once entering the room. the IR sensor will sense the movement and the light will turn on.
-If the temperature is high in the room, the window will open automatically.
this is the control system for the door
3- Sketch your project: You may use pen and paper or a simple sketching tool like Microsoft Paint or Photoshop

4- Describe the Technical Modules that your project consists of
Construction Parts
small box fabricated by laser cutter.
Input
(Sensing, Tactile Input, and/or Graphical Input)
Key bad - RFID tag - Ultrasonic sensor - LDR
Action
(Physical and/or Graphic)
-the door opens after entering the password or passing An RFID tag.
-a message viewed on LCD.
Brain
Arduino
Power Management
9 volt adaptor.
5- Create a cardboard prototype of your project, demonstrating the project face as well as internal movements and mechanisms. Include a demo video and photos of the prototype.
where the Arduino and the breadboard will be placed.
6- Categorize your project’s User Features into: Minimum, Complete, and Nice-to-have features. List the required action and input components per feature.
Minimum Features: are the least amount of features that would demonstrate the coverage of all the technical modules and their complete integration
Complete Features: are the set of features that will complete your original project objective and vision
Nice-to-have Features: are the extra set of features that will make the project cooler, yet they need extra time, effort, and/or resources to finish
Minimum User Features

Action: servo motor/ electromagnet lock.
Sensing: none
User Input: keypad
The door opens when passing an RFID tag
Action:
