Design a model of a simple mobile phone holder that may rest on a flat surface . Design the parts using Fusion 360 and fabricate it using Laser Cutting
The design requirements for me were to be in more than one position, and to be similar to the Mitsubishi Evo 5 spoiler,
I was inspired by the design idea from the ruler 30 and 60 and through it will give me two angles to install the phone in addition to the aesthetic shape that I wanted

describe of the design process
1- In the beginning, I measured the dimensions of the phone that I used in the project and built on it the dimensions of all the parts that I will design later
3- draw the base skitch and it will be fully defined, the videos will describe the process of use fusion
T-Slot dimensions , T-Slot also help to connect all parts together , and install it to make it don't rotted
5- In the same vein, we will design the other parts, which is the side that will support the phone, and it will give us two angles, the first 30 degrees and the second 60 degrees.
2-We use Fusion 360 to turn ideas and design into reality
4- After all these steps, we will have a shape similar to the existing image, and thus we will have a form that can be used in the project permanently.
6- The front part will prevent the phone from slipping and hold it in place,
After we finished the design and I'm here all the parts alone, we will now assemble and make sure that all the parts are proportional to each other and you can assemble them
So I made another design and took into account the date points For inspiration, phone holder model in Fusion 360, consisting of more than 2 parts and fully defined with using screws and nuts
After we made sure that the size is accurate, we can now transfer the file in DFX format to the RDCAM program called Prepare the file for printing
1-I used the RDCAM program to prepare the design to be compatible with the machine, in addition to specifying the parts to be cut and the parts to be engraving, the parts to be cut were marked in black and the parts that if engraving were marked in red , And each color is adjusted so that it has its own laser intensity and its own operating speed as well
2-We transfer the design in DFX format using USB and connect it to the machine and run it, and the estimated time to finish the process will appear, and the drug time in this project was seven minutes
After finishing the pieces, I assemble the pieces and put them together, and you are sitting like this, so that they are free of any defects, and I injure the operation
1- In the video we select the center and the area of the cut and the laser cutter will estimate the time
I used a laser cutter because it was one of the conditions of Assignment and on the basis of it I will implement my design
. I started the Laser Cutter and put my file on the usb. I then put the usb in the Laser Cutter, adjusted the origin and the focus, checked my work time which 7,5 min, and started cutting.
I had a problem with laser cutter, i had problem to select the center in the plywood and i asked Ghazaly for my help the with this case and we fix it.
design (1)
I initially made a design, but it did not meet the required conditions assigment, so I replaced it with another design that was completely manufactured by me from the beginning.
I learned three main points today
Point No. 1: dealing with a program in my nationality 60 and how to transform the idea from just a drawing in my imagination to a realistic design using it
Point No. 2: How to deal with the cutter and assembling the components after completion
Point No. 3: How to identify problems that may occur during implementation and how to overcome them
all of this point will help me in final project
The most important thing I learned this week is not to be shy about asking for help, because people are helpful and help each other and learn from each other.
As for the technical aspect, I learned how important it is to write down the steps I take to help me fix the error and to be a reference for me in the future.

In this week's "Hands-on, Minds-on" activity we were asked to build a model of a simple mobile phone holder.
The model should:
be made out of cardboard
be designed to rest on a flat surface
