Before beginning fabrication, you must first prepare the DXF file for the laser cutter. I uploaded the dxf file I downloaded into rdcam and resized it to the desired size. Then I altered the colour of the portions I wanted to engrave and the colour of the parts I wanted to cut. I saved the file in.rld format, but I didn't modify the speed or power since I needed to consult the fablab specialist about the laser cutter's characteristics.
I began with the 3D printer because it would take the longest to complete. I loaded the.gcode file onto the SD card and began printing.
I saved the dfx file on my usb. After that, I inserted the sheet of wood into the laser cutting bed, adjusted the origin and focus, followed the rest of the instructions, and began cutting.
There was a major challenge this week because I was dealing with these devices and software for the first time in my life, and there was a difficulty in the beginning, but from the help of colleagues and help them dry, I solved these problems and the first printing process succeeded and cutting the two together, thank God
