Paper cub holder. I wanted the design to be minimal to try painting it using stone effect and i liked the proportions of the cup, so i decided to start from it.

1- Sketching the main part on Fusion:
Sketching half the profile with dims from (create sketch then draw lines with dimensions)
Adjusting sketches to be fully defined.
Finish sketch
Revolve: select the profile, create, revolve, select the perpendicular axis/line, write down angle of revolving and the choose new body.
3-Shell and Pipe
Modify> Shell, to hollow the object with thickness 2mm
Create> Pipe , for a better user experience for the edge of the cup.
4-Making pattern
draw sketch for the pattern part.
Extrude, cut,
Create circular pattern as shown on the photo
5- Visual Apperance
Render> visual apperance> choose the desired material to get a closer look the final product's material.
Render
5- Exporting .stl file
Export> .stl
6- Open Cura
Slicing the body with the same scale took around 4 hours
After trials between down scaling and moving between layer height, i down sized the model to 50% with layer height 0.3 and infill 20%.
I added a brim and the model didn't need support.
Export. gcode file ready to be printed.
Export and copy.gcode file from computer to the 3d printer using a memory card.
Insert the PLA filament with desired color ( choosed the white to apply the paint later on).
Adjustig tempretare for Bed (60c) and Nozzle (215c) as i forgot to adjust them on the file itself.
Start printing.
The Nozzle temp. changed again to (200c) after finishing the first layer, so we rechanged it into 215c and it worked until the end.

The pattern i made was too thin as i choosed shell value 2mm and after down scaling the model into 50% the value became 1mm which made it too fragile and faded at a very small point, so it had broken easily .
Applying paint to the broken pen holder.
I enjoyed modeling LEGO man with my friend Doaa, and here's a photo for him visiting The Eskimos ..
I am so satisfied with the pen holder's result even it's supposed to be a failure at the end xD
