Ms. Helpy
Ms. Helpy is a teacher's assistant whose main task is to reinforce students positively in the classroom or online sessions. It also helps the teacher manage his time during the session. I care about this project because as a teacher I exert lots of efforts to keep my students engaged in the learning process and always look for various ways to attract their attention.
The project idea is a teacher's assistant robot "Ms. Helpy" with simple features for lower grades students. This robot will have the following features :
A "Good Idea💡" sign with a lamp attached to its right hand which will be raised up when the teacher push a certain button on the robot's body as positive feedback for students' creative ideas.
A timer and LCD screen on the front body to help the teacher set the time for each activity.
A noise sensor to detect high noises in the class and warn the students to keep silent by the sound of a buzzer and raising up the left hand with "Keep quite🤫" sign.
Construction Parts
The enclosure of the game console will be designed as 2.5D parts using Fusion 360 and fabricated using Laser Cutting
Input
(Sensing, Tactile Input, and/or Graphical Input)
Push Button that the teacher will press it when a student says something creative so the robot's rights hand raises up with a "Good idea" sign.
Noise Sensor : It detects noise in the classroom.
Keypad: The teacher sets the countdown timer for each activity
Action
(Physical and/or Graphic)
Physical :
Rotary Motion with servo motor to raise the robot's arm if the good idea's button is pressed or the noise sensor detects noise.
Sound with Buzzer when the countdown timer is finished.
Rotary Motion with servo motor to move the robots legs.
Brain
An Arduino UNO board will be used take inputs and generate actions
Power Management
The robot will be powered using battery.
