My selected idea is a smiley face with two eyes as LEDs. The eyes get light from a hidden push button at back. light comes with a buzz sound.
I get my idea from a simple project in "Easy Electronics for parents and kids" book.
Tinkercad is a free web app for 3D design, electronics, and coding.
BreadBoard.
LED.
Building Material for my selected model.
Wires.
Push Button
Buzzer
5v Adapter.
- My begin point is shaping the smiley face from a cardboard sheet.
- The circuit has 2 actions components (2 LEDS + 1 Buzzer).
- The voltage source is 5v adapter up on biggest minimum voltage needs in both of my two components and here it is buzzer with 5v.
- The LED will be combined with a resistor to get the suitable volt needed (less then 2V).
- Simulate circuit on Tinkercad.
* Adding 2 LED + 2 Resistors (300) to save LED from voltage over needs + wiring.
* Adding Buzzer + Wiring.
* Adding 5v voltage source with wiring.
* Adding push button (ON/OFF).
Before pushing button.
Simulation result after pushing button.
-- Fixing two LED within smiley face as its eyes.
- Adding wiring for LED for being read to be connected to breadboard circuit.
- Preparing my bread board.
- Adding 2 Resistors to save LED from voltage over needs + wiring.
- Adding Buzzer + Wiring.
- Adding 5v +/- wires to get ready for being feed from adapter.
- Ensuring parallel wiring as there are two different components and each one has different voltage needs. Also parallel wiring is better if any of components being defected.
- Adding push button (ON/OFF).
I have to use additional written tutorials beside videos as it is better for me to read than watch.
Every time before begin making process like in assignment and EOweek Makeathon, I feel anxiety and I can not do it and I still need a lot of study. But after two or three minutes from beginning alone or with a team I feel better and it was not as bad as I thought at beginning.
I have to be more brave about experimenting and not be afraid from making wrong as it is a fast way for learning very fast.
Getting familiar with designing circuits will be very useful in designing successful circuits for my project.
