Ideation

Tell us about your assignment's idea for this week. Why do you care about this idea? What inspired you? (Please include images or links to sources of inspiration)

I searched on Google to find a simple model for mobile holder that I could draw on fusion 360 but I still can't imagine how to draw, so I brought a game kit and a carton and tried to do a simple prototype

Which software/machines/materials did you use in the assignment? Why?

I used Autodesk Fusion 360 for sketching the designs .

Laserwork is used to get the dxf file ready to print and send it to the laser cutting machine and setting the speed and the power of the laser beam.

Polywood 3mm thickness.

Design/Preparation Process

Explain the design and/or preparation process of your assignment. How did you use the tool or software to design and/or prepare your assignment before fabrication/implementation?

Here I tried to convert the sketch to fully defined sketch with filet. and finally i did it.

The design on the fusion is not easy for me. I designed a fully defined sketch and added a fillet to the sketch, the fully defined disappears. Some restricted lines cannot be deleted in laser works, so I deleted 0n fusion so that the design could not be fully defined and so on, but I finally cut my design.

I tried to make the design fully defined, so at the base and side started from the origin point and draw fixed axis .

In the base I used the mirror feature so I draw the rectangle in dimensions divided by 2

Development/Implementation Process

Explain the development/implementation process of your assignment. How did you use the machine/tool to manufacture or implement the design of your assignment?

I import the dxf file and opened it on the laser work and adjusted the power and speed and it was not effective to cut so i adjusted it again into

and the operation was done and took almost a minute.

I used sandpaper to remove brown color which is resulted from laser cutting.

I joined pieces together with screws,nuts and t slot.

What kinds of challenges or problems did you face while doing the assignment, tutorials, or exercises? How did you solve them? Did you ask for help from an instructor or peer? Please provide a link to the tutorial or article that you used to solve your problem (if any)

I had a problem that the shape is not fully cut because the power is not enough to cut. Unfortunately, I made a big mistake and moved the sheet so I couldn't get the cut again on the design.

The specialist helped me find a proper paper that was used before to cut my design.

I adjusted the power to a higher degree and the speed to a lower degree.

Final Project

How can you use the skills and knowledge that you've acquired this week in your final project?

Discovering a software program that can design anything is great.

I'm sure the fusion 360 helped me design parts of my final project.
