This is my make-through for the week's assignment. Grab a cup of coffee!
Empathize: Conduct interview from 3 to 5 of your target user segment
Define: Generate a problem statement with a focused User, pressing need, based on real insights (Using the problem statement worksheet)
Ideate: Generate at least 10 different solution ideas and filter them using the Bright Stars prioritization matrix based on two criteria; value to the user and Feasibility
Prototype: Produce a low fidelity prototype of your solution using recyclable materials
Test: Collect feedback from your users based on the prototype that you've developed
Describe your previous experience with Design Thinking: is this your first time using design thinking? How is this process different from the traditional way of doing projects?
Describe your experience during the Empathize stage: Who are your target user? How did you conduct your interviews? How many interviews did you conduct? were the interviews insightful?
Describe your experience during the Define stage: How did you analyze your data using the Empathy Map? What is the final problem statement?
Describe your experience during the Ideate stage: How did you generate your ideas? Which techniques did you use to generate the ideas? How many ideas did you generate? How did you filter the ideas and decide on the final solution?
Describe your experience during the Prototyping stage: How did you prototype your solution? Which materials did you use? Show your working prototype.
Describe your experience during the Test stage: Did you test your prototype? What was your user's feedback? Would that feedback impact your next iteration on the product?
Describe problems you encountered as they happened throughout the process. How did you solve them?
Make sure to Use screenshot images and videos to document the process.
Let's start the my Six journey.
Deals with 5 New concepts:
Empathize
Define
Ideate
Prototype
Test
As we say that Simple explanation comes with a simplified example. This is the goal today.
Requirement: Design thinking process to address a pressing problem for a User towards the development of a Low-Fidelity Prototype for your Individual Project.
My experience with Design and Thinking is the my mind do some of many steps in this process of, but it didn't organize well and some point are missed.
Interview with four person with my future user: Café owners, university student, shoes shop owner, school student.
Interview Target: Showing my product polarograph machine, show some photos which will the future output and discuss the benefits of using it.
Reaction of the my interviewers when show them some video and the output.
Wow, it good idea, and it will save money , effort , remove the idea of and time
Eliminates the thought of drawing only the saved graphics in the mind of painter.
Question and problems:
The main question How can I fixed it in wall does it effect on wall??????
My answer: you can fixed using hole using driller and fixed using the bolt. This idea is refused because it will keep the effect on wall.
What about the max width and height of machine????
The answer: my machine will have the max width 1m and height 1m. the café and shoes shop owner and didn't like my answer they will use to paint in wall of shops so that they need increase the machine width and height. the student didn't have a problem with the width and length of the polygraphs. assembly and disassembly the component they said there are some difficulty in the two process.
What about changing the color?
The user need automatic change pen to different color.
What about the Cost of machine or the polarograph rental ???????????
My answer I will provide all detail about cost of machine after I finished.
Define; main problem with user is that the limit size of the drawing machine. rewrite the problems rethink about I founded the main and common problems are:
Size: 1m width and 1.5m length.
Fixation on wall: Fixation of two motors on wall.
Assembly and disassembly the component make easy to carry.
Step1: I already had some ideas on my own but after the interviews I had to refine them a little.
Step2: features about the products from users mentioned during the interviews.
Step3: The mind mapping match the behavior of the users with the features I can add to the product.
Step4: I could settle on 5 sparkling ideas that can help solve the users' problem.
Step5: I will add the accurate cost of machine and the drawing after made it as soon as possible .
Step6: I reached my final solution of all the problems in my product.
2 Hinge to fixation the two wood column, I found that the weight of wood will keep the two column in align. see the video for more understand.
Problems solved are the limit size: Now we didn't have any limit in width because you can control the size by moving the wood column (carry the two motor).
problem Assembly and disassembly: by Using 3d printing part.
Fixation on wall: The motor fixed on two wood columns.
Potential Solution:
What I learned this week is...
Apply design thinking methodology to my product and Understand the basic aspects of human-centered design.
