This is my make-through for the week's assignment. Grab a cup of coffee!
Let's start the my third journey.
Journey taken place in my home and Fab Lab.
main goal journey: designing PCP,.
Story Characters: My laptop, my mouse, Eagle Software, and CNC machine.
Step 1: mouse scroll didn't work. Lets check what happened I attend the PCP lecture so that my mind told to me you can do. prepared the tools to start.
Step 2: Wow it is amazing PCP I can see different components. Suddenly, I found myself smashing the scroll. It is time for using of 3d printers what we learnt in week2.
Step 3: First Starting with Eagle software isn't better with me. There are many different with starting window in Eagle. NO zoom in or out.
Step 4: I tried to use the traditional techniques (restart the lab top and download again) all failed. I said to my self i will not effect on the performance of the software I continue working until I found my self Needing to download the Fab library. I download but eagle mind can't identify the library. I watched again the lecture video and I did many researches to solve the problem.
Step 5: it doesn't stop at this point the moving of components in systematic did not work.
Problem: eagle software starting window, Fab library, and Moving components
Potential Solution: I asked for help to solve the problem of Fab library, finally I asked Eng.: Mohamed Ibrahim for solving the problem of moving component ( "the problem can be in the windows")
Step 1: I tried to design without using bridge but I spent much without any result. deciding to use one bridge to end this error.
Step 2: I designed great the PCP on Eagle (according to it is second PCP)
Step 3: Lets start my fabrication of PCP with all happiness, I entered the Fab Lab door and I send to the flash memory all photos. putting the all info need for CNC machine setting.
Step 4: It is work WOW. I can't wait to see great. It is finish the tracks. the tracks was so roughness and not finishing well. I know the problem because is in manual using of down button of machine is little big. I told to my self it is not a problem. It seem good.
Step 5:The machine is ready to drill and I change driller. it is start. Oh no the hole is shift above its location. keep calm, I know my error ( I forget the test of photos). my mind five minute only for fix the problem. after I finished, I heard words that no one would like to hear ( It is 5:50 o'clock and please prepare yourself because we will close after 10 min). it is mean no time for fabricate PCP again.
It is not look good but there is wrong in holes position and the dimension 50mmx35mm
Step 1: After you download Eagle come with me prepare your tools (laptop and coffee) for ten minute journey
step 2: Downloads library of Fab (Spark Fun libraries, Fab library).
step 3: Use all, Right click on each library and make sure you use all library (green circle). Warning, each time you use Eagle You should make libraries use all.
step 4: Searching on component. go to left window (two columns) and you will find add part search about your components name choose ( smd or through hole = Pads). Remember, to use " if you missed part of component name.
step 5: Finishing the schematic and go to Board, In second tool par after bar you will find button (Generate/ switch to board) make click.
step 6: drag all your components in the area between the orange boundary stop at here.
step 7: some steps before wiring to save your PCP it depends on the accuracy of CNC machine used follow me to save your time by saving the tracks from cutting or touching together. (clearly in the following Photos)
step 9: layer, choose (single or double layers)
step 8: Wiring (Route Airwire) [smd (Top layer) or Through all (bottom)] try to drag each component near to prevent the two tracks touched together. Please, don't challenge your self to use with out any bridge (zero ohm). it consumes more time but it great challenge.
step 8: Making outer outlines, draw you outlines of PCP with width 31.49.
step 10: Make sure your isolation is 20.
step 11: CAM Processor files, click on CAM Processor then in the top Export as ZIP- then process job.
step 12: gerbv viewer, Open Grebv and open Gerberfiles and change colors to white and black only. follow my Pdf files colors.
step 13: Gimp, Photoshop program open Pdfs files and makes the resolution 1000 pixels. Image- model-indexed-use black and white- convert. You will use flip horizontal in transform if you wiring on bottom with through hole components.
step 14: Finally, revise all photo together make sure all drills in the each photo not shift in any photos. I prefer to keep the outline frame in Pdf and remove from Gimp (PNG).
Step 1: Setting the machine parameters. I can not wait. I revise the all error I failed in the first trial, but the machine had another opinion.
Step 2: the PCP had two different depth of tracks. you can see in the picture ( I knowed the It is a bad elevation problem wait it is not my problem ( thanks to Allah). using some traditional techniques (that we can remove the track which is done well and keep the other and repeat tracks again with more down in of drilling tool . it is failed because of the the tracks are connected to together (some well and some not well) so that I can not remove.
Step 3: Choosing another area in copper board. No space enough to make my PCP in the fixed board on machine. I should replace it with new one.
Step 4: with no hope (disappointment) because it is 5;45 o'clock. I wait to hear the Fab Lab Sentence.

What I learned this week is...
After many attempts to convince them that I can make it in 15min expert agree and it is made but with no hope and with my supplications. It is done.
I took the SMD component but I want to laugh about its size.
I spent much time to make fabricate my PCP but I learnt some info.

I leave the CNC with all happiness but the forth journey will be happened soon.
