In the Episcopal Church, the leadership of congregations is rooted in a partnership between the rector and the Vestry. This group meets monthly with the rector to share in the work of leading the parish, to dream of the future, and to plan for the life and well-being of the whole congregation. At St. Andrew's, the vestry consists of seven members, two wardens (senior and junior), a treasurer, a clerk, and the rector. Members of the vestry are elected at the Annual Meeting which takes place on the last Sunday in January. Vestry members serve staggered three year terms. Dan and his wife Christina have been parishioners of St. Andrews since 2007. With the birth of their eldest daughter, Nora, they were seeking a place of worship that aligned with their beliefs and was a welcoming environment to raise a family. After visiting a handful of churches in Meriden they found everything they were looking for in St. Andrews. They received a warm welcome from the congregation and immediately connected with the rector, Father Bob Stocksdale.

Dan is now the father of two daughters, as Elena was added to the family in 2011. He was a lifelong resident of Meriden until 2021 and attended Meriden schools. He remains an active member of the community. He serves on the Meriden Daffodil Committee and is employed by the Meriden Parks and Recreation Department as the summer camp director. Dan and Christina now reside in North Haven, but will travel to their hometown to be with their parish family. Professionally, Dan is a teacher in Southington, CT.

Dan is an avid sports fan who shows his allegiance to the New York teams, the Giants and the Mets. He has played sports his whole life and embraces competition and teamwork. Currently, he has found his newest hobby in auto racing. He is currently a part of a crew that tours New England.

Dan also enjoys traveling with his family and making life memories with his loved ones. Family is an important part of his life and spending time with them is a priority.

This is Dan’s third time on the vestry and his first as senior warden.

Dave Lowe

Treasurer

Dave has served on the vestry and various other committees through the years. He can often be found taking photos at church functions. Dave's day job is in IT management for a national health care company. Born and raised in Southeast Pennsylvania, Dave and wife Deb have lived in Meriden since 1983. They joined St. Andrew's in the early 90's, introduced and welcomed by family friends and neighbors who were already worshiping here. Their adult children, David and Cindy, are both married and residing out of state.

St. Andrew's has been a part of my life and Christian development since I was a small child. As a member then and a member now, I find God's love, joy, acceptance, and mission in our St. Andrew's community. My husband and I joined this community after some "shopping," and we were married here in 2018. I enjoy offering my time and talents as clerk to help support and promote the ideas, growth, and transition of St. Andrew's. I see Christ's love in the work that we do and in the relationships that we build, both within our St. Andrew's parish and in those lives we touch outside of Sunday worship.

I started attending services at St. Andrew’s in late 2019. I was introduced to the Episcopal Church by a friend from another parish.

I found St. Andrew’s to be a friendly and welcoming community to be part of as God leads me on this journey. Early this year, I didn’t expect to be asked to be on the Vestry but am glad to be.
