Whitney Drye

My name is Whitney Drye, and I am a Junior at Salisbury Academy Upper School. Art, clothes, and animals bring me joy daily. I see myself either being a dental hygienist, or a fashion designer. I enjoy helping others and having fun.

Salisbury Academy Upper School

Salisbury Academy Upper School is an environment where you can learn to be yourself and use critical thinking. Here we work on what is in our best interest. All the teachers strive to make learning, and being in this environment enjoyable .

Clubs

Fashion and Interior Design

In this club we developed a small group interested in similar things. All of us have at least a small percentage of an art brain. We have been drawing, sketching, discussing, and brainstorming many ideas around turning a small area into a recording studio. The recording studio will be used for podcasting, and the goal is to make it soundproof and attractive.

Jr. Civitan

Jr. Civitans is an amazing way to get out and know the community. In the Jr. Civitan I am the Social Media chair. We have worked on community service projects each month. My favorite project was Blockworks where I helped in the revitalization of downtown residential area. I also attended the Regional Convention.

Social Media

While many post their news in a newspaper or on TV, our school posts our news all over social media. I helped guide the formation of our social media outlets specific to the Upper School - from Instagram to Facebook, and hopefully will be able to introduce a TikTok soon! Our pages are all dedicated to student's productivity, work, achievements, and more. We present appropriate proud moments or experiences that the students and I have enjoyed. Many posts mean many achievements.
