We started this season knowing Carlos was one of our secret weapons. I've written about him here several times already but the hits just keep coming. Running nearly 3 minutes faster than he did at this race last year, his 16:40 PR and 7th overall finish at River Rat shows he's to be feared in championship season.
Archie Patterson has now PR'd 5 times this season. It's easier to count how many races he HASN'T run a personal best in. With an 18:18 at River Rat, it's not out of the question to think that this young man who started his xc career two years ago with a 24 minute 5k may see a 17 on the clock in his remaining races.
Willow Metropark has been kind to the kid. This is his third time PRing at the course and Friday afternoon's race saw him get under 24 minutes for the first time. It's rare for a freshman to be PRing at the end of the season. We see you and we're impressed!
