Anna Bonner is a senior and has built a strong foundation of writing skills through AP Lang, and continues to build up her writing abilities through AP Lit. She has also participated a variety of AP courses including APUSH, AP Government, AP Computer Science, and AP Economics. Outside of school, Anna is very involved in my community, and co-founded Students Helping Students club which raises school supplies for students in need. Anna is super excited to share her writing skills and help build confidence in students writing abilities.
Aly Broekhuizen is a student-athlete who has played soccer since the age of six. She is interested in pursuing a career in the medical field, with a focus on pediatrics. Outside of school, Aly enjoys baking, babysitting, playing board games, spending time with friends, and playing soccer. She also loves spending time with her pets, two little dogs named Lexi and Lucy, and a cat named Charley.
Emma Dobrowolski is a senior at Saline High School. Emma has experience writing essays, stories, poetry, lab reports, and more. Outside of school Emma loves to read, watch television, go on bike rides, and paint.
Annie Dolence is a senior at Saline High School and a first-year consultant at the Writing Center. Annie has years of experience writing both in and out of the classroom, but tends to focus on academically charged opportunities in composition, such as advanced English courses and clubs. Outside of school, Annie spends most of her time dancing, hiking, or creating visual art. She hopes to express her thoughts and beliefs via creative avenues of all shapes, sizes, and mediums, simultaneously sharing her perspective and broadening her horizons.
Iman Gormley-Veasley is a senior at Saline High School and a returning Writing Center consultant. Iman is involved in several school clubs and activities such as NHS, GIDAS, Key Club, and Poetry Club. She is especially passionate about neuroscience, taking classes such as AP biology and AP psychology this year. Outside of school, Iman can be found reading new books, studying, writing stories, shopping, and hanging out with friends. Iman is honored and excited to be back in the Writing Center for another year.
Katelyn Gray is a senior at Saline High School and a first-year Writing Center consultant. She has taken a few advanced classes such as AP Language & Composition and AP Psychology. Additionally, Katelyn is a third-year producer for SHS Today (Saline's news broadcast show) and the publicity officer for SHS Drama Club. Outside of school, she enjoys dancing, archery, writing, listening to music, and studying psychology. Katelyn is eager to see what the new school year has to offer!
Zach Heisler is a senior at Saline High School and a first-year writing consultant. Although Zach’s favorite subject is math, writing is a close second. Outside of school, Zach loves to hangout with friends and play soccer. He also enjoys baking and looking for steals at the thrift store. He believes in the power of friendship!
Kennedy Lange is a senior at Saline High School. Kennedy took AP Language and Composition and AP US Government last year, and is now currently enrolled in AP Literature. She is also apart of the schools cross country and track team. Outside of school, Kennedy enjoys spending time with family and friends and baking. Her favorite subject is English and she looks forward to helping her peers feel more confident in their writing.
Addison Lenga is a senior at Saline High School, and it is her first year as a consultant for the Writing Center. She loves reading nonfiction and, subsequently, her favorite things to write about are in the realms of science and research. Addison is also apart of the SHS Chamber Choir, NHS, and Student Council. You might also find her at the Briarwood Mall where she works part time at Aerie. She is always happy to help, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
Alex Lillie is a senior in his second year as a Writing Center consultant. He has taken APUSH, AP Gov, AP Lang, AP Envi Sci, AP Lit, and AP Calc BC, and can help with work from any of these classes upon request. He specializes in History and English and hopes to pursue a career in government and Law in the future. He is captain of the SHS Swim and Dive team, President of GNCTF, and enjoys sleeping and reading in his free time. This year, Alex is exited to help other writers find their voice!
Henry Lizotte is a senior and first year consultant with the Writing Center. His favorite subject to study is history, but his favorite class he took in high school was AP Lang because it gave him tools to express himself more accurately. Henry is the business lead of the robotics team, plays the piccolo in marching band, and is involved in many more clubs around Saline, including quiz bowl, debate, and ethics. He looks forward helping students express themselves in a more authentic manner through the writing center.
Jamie Meyers is a senior at Saline High School and is a second-year Writing Center Consultant. English has been his favorite subject for many years and he's excited to help others with their writing process. Outside of school he loves to do theater, read lots of books, go hiking, and travel the world.
B Miller is a senior at Saline High School, where B serves as the Events Editor for the school yearbook. This is B's first year in the Writing Center and they hope to assist peers with writing development and communication skills. In their free time, they enjoy golfing, snowboarding, and following Formula 1 racing. B lives with their parents, younger brother, and two beloved cats, Chloe and Kona.
Katie Mullins is a senior at Saline High School and a new consultant in the Writing Center. She has a weakness for all things kitschy and can usually be found with an overpriced matcha in hand, a half-read book nearby, or something sweet baking in the oven. A self-proclaimed makeup artist and avid thrifter, Katie enjoys history and literature classes, journaling, and volunteering at Hope Clinic and the Humane Society. At home, her cat and two dogs keep life busy and entertaining.
Bryce Nadig is going into his senior year at Saline, and has attended Saline schools for all of his life. At the high school, he plays soccer and golf. He is also a two time captain for the soccer team. This will be his second year in the writing center and he hope sto study pre-med in college.
Carmen Pangilinan is a Senior at Saline High School and a new member of Writing Center. Carmen took AP Language last year where she discovered a love for writing. Outside of school, Carmen enjoys playing and coaching tennis, planting, maintaining her aquarium, and spending time with friends. Carmen values tenacity and authenticity.
Harper Petrous is a senior at Saline High School. Harper is a member of many organizations, such as the Saline Varsity Dance Team, National Honors Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and serves as the Executive Council President of Student Council. Her junior year, she took AP Language and Composition, which she loved along with her passion for science courses. Outside of school, Harper enjoys dancing on her competition team, reading, shopping, traveling, and trying new dining locations.
Claire Portwood is a senior at Saline High School. She has taken a variety of classes, with some of her favorites being AP Language and Composition, Contemporary Literature, AP U.S. History, Human Body Systems, Marketing, and AP Government. At school, Claire participates in DECA, Student Council, NHS, Red Cross Club, and the Saline Varsity Dance Team. Outside of school, she spends a lot of time dancing competitively at her studio, Ann Arbor Dance Classics. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and watching TV shows. Claire can't wait to help others with their writing!
Riley Provost is a senior at Saline High School. Riley has taken a variety of english classes, her favorite being AP Language and Composition. In her free time, Riley enjoys playing soccer, running, being outside, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
Shyla Smith is a Saline High School senior and a new member of the Writing Center. Shyla has taken AP Language and Composition, and she is the business editor for the 2026 Salinian Yearbook. Outside of the Writing Center, Shyla enjoys running, spending time with friends and family, snuggling with her dog, and practicing her flute.
Ava Spitler is going into her senior year as a student-athlete at Saline High School, participating in golf and soccer. Ava enjoys all subjects, but reading and writing are her most favorite. Other than in school, Ava works as a lifeguard at a waterpark, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and most of all her pets. She has one older brother, and exactly 3 cats and a tortoise. She also loves to bake, to travel, and to eat delicious food.
Henry Strozeski is a Senior at Saline. He is ecstatic to be a consultant for the SHS Writing Center again this year! As well as being a consultant at the writing center, Henry is an active member and Vice President of the Saline Drama Club (and he’d love it if you dropped into a meeting sometime!). Henry also plays the alto saxophone in the Saline Marching Band and Wind Ensemble! Whenever Henry has free time, he loves to call friends, play saxophone, and write stories! When Henry graduates, he wishes to exercise his creativity in whatever way he can!
Regina Sushenko is a senior at Saline High School. She is involved in a bunch of clubs such as Science Olympiad, Chemistry Club, Bio tutoring, and GIDAS. Regina enjoys art and reading and spending time with friends. She’s excited for her senior year and to help out any people at the writing center!
Caitlyn Widiarta is a senior at Saline High School. Previously, she has taken AP Psychology and AP Chemistry, and will continue her rigorous course load with AP Literature. She also enjoys participating in Chamber Orchestra, the Varsity Tennis Team, and clubs such as Poetry Club and Mental Wellness Club. In her free time, she likes to play the violin, write poetry, volunteer, and draw. Her favorite word is “excursion,” and she is excited to help students improve their writing this year!
Harper Backus is a Junior at Saline High School. It is her first year being apart of the writing center. In Harper's free time she enjoys playing basketball, spending time with her dogs, and is also involved in NHS and Link Crew. Harper is super excited to be a part of the writing center community.
Kendra Danko is a junior at Saline High School and a first-year Writing Center consultant. She is also a member of the National Art Honor Society, Link Crew, and the SHS Drumline. Outside of school, Kendra enjoys creating different forms of art, baking, thrifting, and playing both the drums and guitar. She is very excited to help others through the Writing Center.
M Habrecht is a Junior at Saline High School and is vice president of the ASL club and the GNCTF. M also enjoys singing in choir and playing mallets in band. Outside of school, M plays water polo as the varsity goalie of the Saline-Milan women's team. They love reading and writing, and they can't wait to meet new people through the Writing Center this year.
Maybelle Hart is a junior at Saline High School who participates in several clubs and programs including Science Olympiad and National Honor Society. She enjoys many different subjects in school, especially science. Outside of her life at school, Maybelle likes to ride her bike, hang out with friends, play with her cat, and spend time with her sisters.
Jack Hayes is a junior at Saline High School and a first year consultant at the writing center. Jack is an enthusiastic writer, involved in several band and CAD programs at the high school. Jack is also one of the high school Link Leaders. Outside of school, Jack enjoys tennis, other applications of music including marching band, and spending time with family. He is happy to be a member of the writing center this year, and looking forward to helping a new community of people.
Lila Kipley is a junior at Saline High School and a first year consultant in the writing center. Lila loves reading and writing, and all things ELA related! Outside of school, Lila likes traveling, hanging out with friends and family, and playing volleyball. She believes in friendship and loyalty, and loves to help others.
Charlotte Ledy is a junior at Saline High School and a proud part of the Writing Center. Charlotte’s favorite subject in school is science! She loves reading, baking, taking naps, going for walks, and golfing in her free time. Charlotte is also on the girls' varsity golf team. She believes in being kind to everyone and spreading positivity.
Sloane McClellan is a first-year Writing Center consultant. Her favorite subject in school has always been English, and she is currently taking AP Language and Composition. She enjoys many genres, but especially likes reading and writing fiction. Outside of school, Sloane enjoys photography, volleyball, and spending time with friends. She is very excited for this school year and can’t wait to help her peers with their writing!
Evan Schlitt is a senior at Saline High School and a member of the Writing Center. He is highly involved in music clubs and activities, both in and out of school, as well as in various other clubs, including DECA and nonprofit organizations such as the Financial Youth Foundation. Evan enjoys writing creatively, but his true passion lies in persuasive essays and speeches. Outside of school, his hobbies include writing and listening to music, cooking, working out, and playing guitar. He also enjoys vacationing in mountainous areas, spending time with family and friends, and watching movies.
