Welcome!

Our Mission

Saline High School’s Writing Center aims to enhance all student writing, at all levels and in all disciplines. The Writing Center provides peer tutoring, classroom workshops, resources, community partnerships, and extracurricular literacy opportunities.

How to Use the Writing Center

ONLINE SUBMISSIONS

Submit a draft for online review using the Online Submission Form (below). Please follow the directions in the form to ensure that we have commenting privileges in your document.

We promise to email you with feedback within 48 hours. Please plan accordingly!

IN-PERSON CONSULTATIONS

Writing Center consultants are available almost every hour of the day! No appointment needed. Stop in for specific, face-to-face feedback anytime. We are located in the small Hornet Hub.

CLASS VISITS [FOR TEACHERS]

Submit a request to have Writing Center consultants come to your class! They can...

  • Present about our services
  • Deliver a mini-lesson about any topic related to writing (i.e. comma usage, how to write a thesis statement)
  • Provide on-the-spot feedback to your students as they work
  • Answer any questions students (or you!) may have about writing

Please email Jen Denzin with your requests (denzinj@salineschools.org) at least 24 hours in advance.
