Our Mission

Saline High School’s Writing Center enhances all student writing, at all levels and all disciplines. The Writing Center provides peer tutoring, classroom workshops, resources, community partnerships, and extracurricular literacy opportunities.

How to Use the Writing Center

1. STUDENTS: SCHEDULE a time with a Writing Center consultant

Writing Center consultants are available during all hours in Trimester 2! This is a great way to get one-on-one feedback about any piece of writing. Come check us out!

2. SUBMIT a draft for online review using the Online Submission Form.

Please make sure you have given us commenting privileges when you copy and paste the link to your document in the form. We promise to email you with feedback within 48 hours. Please plan accordingly.

3. TEACHERS: SCHEDULE time in the Writing Center

If you would like the Writing Center consultants to prepare a mini-lesson as part of their visit to your classroom, please sign up at least 48 hours in advance. In addition, send an email to

At the conclusion of your appointment with the Center or after you receive online feedback, please fill out the Student Participant Report FORM.

Literary Magazine Submissions

We need you to make our magazine great. Please consider submitting poems, short fiction, creative writing, photos, art, etc. for publication in our annual literary magazine. This year's theme: JOURNEY.
