With the millions of people on Twitter, how do you find ones you need to build your digital PLN? This quest will help!
One of the challenges in using Twitter to connect to people and ideas is finding the right people sharing information that's relevant to you. At this point in the game, it's a good idea to build a solid base of people to follow. Don't worry... it's OK to lurk, or to simply hang out, watching and listening. We'll get to the participation part later.
To help you in your search, below are some articles and lists of some of the best educators to connect to in the Twitterverse.
Before following them, be sure your profile indicates that you, too, are an educator, and maybe even some areas of education. This will increase the likelihood of them following you back, strengthening your network.
Aside from these links and resources, another great way to find people to follow on Twitter is to look at who these education leaders follow. Read through their Tweets and find the ones who are sharing resources relevant to you.
The number of people that you follow is up to you. Some prefer to follow a few people with a more focused conversation while others prefer to follow more with hopes of connecting to more ideas and resources.
Your goal for this quest is to follow at least 25 other educators on Twitter. You should already have a start from those you followed when you created your account. Now it's time to grow!
